  1. Don`t know how accurate this is, but this was sent to me today:- This is unbelievable, but true! Can you imagine working for a company that has a little more than 600 employees and has the following employee statistics . 29 have been accused of spouse abuse 7 have been arrested for fraud 9 have been accused of writing bad cheques 17 have directly or indirectly bankrupted at least 2 businesses 3 have done time for assault 71 cannot get a credit card due to bad credit 14 have been arrested on drug-related charges 8 have been arrested for shoplifting 21 are currently defendants in lawsuits 84 have been arrested for drink driving in the last year Which organisation is this ? It's the 635 members of the House of Commons, the same group that cranks out hundreds of new laws each year designed to keep the rest of us inline. What a bunch of b*****ds we have running our country - it says it all. And just to top all that they probably have the best 'corporate' pension scheme in the country!!
  2. I think probably that both things were connected.
  3. Aha! I plead ignorance!
  4. I seem to remember that Charlie George was never fit during the time that he was with us. I think that he was injured when he signed and never really get over it, so we never really saw the best of him. Also, didn`t Gerry Gurr have a very promising career finished by injury?
  5. Whoooooooosh?
  6. Bloody Hell! A literary reference from a skate!
  7. It was on the Sports Bulletin at 7.20am. TBF I think that to the vast majority of posters on this thread are reasonably happy to have Crouch on the Board. There are only a small handful of people that obviously have a real problem with him.
  8. Bombay Dreams?
  9. I bet they don`t discuss grammar on their forum!!
  10. Mark Kermode was very scathing about it and the good doctor is seldom wrong!
  11. If you haven`t heard it try "Live at The Massey Hall" . Solo live recording from early 70`s released last year. Excellent.
  12. TBF the original report on Solent said a place on the board. No indication of him being Chairman.
  13. After The Goldrush??
  14. You really are obsessed with Crouch aren`t you?
  15. Could be that something like Radio Hampshire could be back in time for the season. 16. I knew Chris in those days. I hadn`t seen him for many years and didn`t realise that he had passed on.
  17. They were good times at the old Club. I used to play darts there, they some pretty good cabaret performers there and I used to go for a pretty decent (and cheap) meal there before games. Of course Sunday lunchtimes with the stripper and the blue comedian (after playing Sunday morning football) were also quite memorable!
  18. And the new MLT one?
  19. I have been supporting Saints since the mid 50`s but the first time that I really heard anything about Poopey calling us "scummers" was in (I think) late 70`s/early 80`s. A Skate supporting singer called Shep Wooley who released a song which referred to Saints fans as "scummers" and ran into trouble in the press. I actually saw Wooley at the old supporters club at The Dell one Sunday lunchtime when they used to have a comedian and a stripper. He bombed with the audience, started crying, went backstage, pretending to change a broken guitar string and never came back!
  20. I think that you may be right. I believe that The Referendum Party became UKIP after Sir James Goldsmith died.
  21. Didn`t Rupes once stand as a candidate for UKIP?
