  1. Happy New Year to al of you miserable bastards out there!! 2008 has been a crap year for Saints supporters. Lets just hope that 2009 may be a BIT better! We are all Saints supporters after all.
  2. It came from JP himself. During the every first interview I saw with him, when asked what sort of football Saints were going to play, he said "Total Football".
  3. Lee Molyneux??
  4. Oh Pleeeeeeeeeeze! Don`t start dalek2003 off again.
  5. I actually sent Charles Sale an e-mail asking him for his thoughts on the current Board, him having continuosly called the previous one "lame-duck" and all that, and guess what! He hasn`t replied!!:shock::shock:
  6. So for you watching football (at any level) is ONLY about the result?? Hmmmmm...........
  7. But surely if you are ONLY interested the result, why ever go to games? Just look at the final scores on TV or in the papers. But TBH if your assessment of a game is that we were crap because we didn`t win it is very simplistic and probably negates any positives that your argument may have. I was there yesterday and for once felt that I had recieved "VFM" at SMS. It was an good entertaining game and Saints actually deserved more from it. Surely that`s what watching football is about. Not JUST the result.
  8. FWIW I also wanted BD but there were plenty who didn`t at the time - probably a 50-50 split.
  9. Interesting to see how many people are now calling for Billy Davies. Wasn`t quite like that a few months ago. Everyone wanted attractive, passing football, not "route-one" 1-0 wins!!
  10. Yeah. They`re s**t! Oh sorry, that`s not really news is it!
  11. Whilst I would agree with most of the sentiments of this post I disagree that Crouch is the reason that we are in this mess. He certainly is PART of the reason. We are where we are because of a series of BAD DECISIONS, starting with (IMHO) a failure to support WGS after the Cup Final. Before that because Saints were (comparitively) successful there was no real anti-Lowe campaign, although because of the plc thing and Lowes percieved "toffee - nosed" lack of football knowledge, it was always a firework waiting to go off! Since then the whole thing has been a tragedy of soap-opera proportions in which Lowe, Wilde and Crouch are all villains to some degree or another.
  12. TBF to Leon - what was Lowes majority in getting re-elected? How do you fight that?
  13. Of course an EFFECTIVE boycott would be a fantastic tool in the fight against Lowe and Co but you haven`t addressed my original point. How do you get 15000 people to boycott? How do you actually organise it?
  14. I understand your cynicism and I know nothing, but never say never. I work in a "Luxury Environment" and there are still plenty of people out there with good money. There are still more billionaires out there than millionaires!
  15. I think that I ought to say that I am VERY ANGRY at what has happened to the club that I have loved for all of these years and will not just sit back and accept things as they are. I am prepared to act but it must be organised and effective.
  16. Let me start by saying that I and my daughter are both ST holders. We would both be willing to boycott a game if we thought that it would have an effect on the state of affairs at SMS. The problem is that the normal gate is around 15K. If you could manage to get all 15k to boycott - brilliant!! Realistically, how many of those 15k can TSW get to and get them to act? As much as I love this forum (my wife will tell you that!!) we are just an active minority. There are 12K plus who do not care as much as we do. How do we energise those people. I am prepared to take whatever action that it takes to rid SFC of the parasites and egotists who are killing the club that I have LOVED for well over 50 years, but the action has to be well organised and effective. Is vague talk of "boycott" the right way?:(
  17. I had a similar situation a few months ago. I was driving along a narrow country lane when I saw a van coming in the opposite direction at a great rate of knots. I could see that he was not going to slow down or pull into one of the "passing pull-ins" so I just pulled into the bank and stopped. The van came through (without slowing) and took the side of my car out. As there were no independant witnesses the insurance companies put it down as 50-50. I did not accept this and made quite a fuss and eventually the insurance company came back and said that the other party had admitted responsibilty. It is worth doing as most insurance companies are part of the same group and sort things out amongst themselves.
  18. Might be too late. Looks like he`s going to Forest.
  19. Really good to have you back and with a good post.
  20. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=txvSiszUrBo Is this Homer Simpson or JP making the same mistakes over and over again?
  21. :smt078:smt078:smt078:smt078:smt078:smt078:smt078
  22. I don`t quite understand this. Are you suggesting that Lowe is, in fact, a unifying figure and that it is just a very small amount of people with axes to grind that are causing unrest for no reason?
  23. O.K. heres mine. A few years ago I was at a company do at New Place near Shedfield. At the end of the evening I went to the toilet before leaving. I had not been drinking as I was driving. I was stood at the urinal "doing the business" and there was nobody else in there with me. I heard the door of the toilets open and I heard and "felt" footsteps walk through the toilets, past the basins and round behind me, but there was nobody there. I didn`t feel scared. It was just a feeling of, I suppose, "wonder" that something unusual was happening.
