Wilde takes the money and runs? House-building is not a very profitable business at the moment.

Have been watching the "WC Fields Collection" that I have been given for Christmas. Wonderful stuff! Looking forward to the "Tony Han**** Collection" that I was also given.

All players that we have never heard of or never liked are going to be crap! (Viafara etc)

I am sorry but I grew up in this city. Saints were always a vital part of Southampton. As you can see from my posts ( spelling/punctuation) although I have had my share of alcohol, I am not totally "car parked" (to quote Micheal McIntyre) and am saying what I really feel. I am sorry if this comes across as the rantings of a drunkard but it couldn`t be farther from the truth. Sometimes it takes the release of alcohol to say the things that you really feel.

OK. I am sure that tomorrow is another day. Things will be a lot better tomorrow.

Yes I am currently very maudlin but I am a ST holder (since mid 70`s) and after many years of following Saints as a way of life have suddenly come to realise that there are ****s at the club who have no concept of what the club really means to the City and whats more don`t care!!!
-
Met Briggo a few months ago. The man was Southampton through and through. Oh for a few more the same!!!
-
Yes I am ****ed. But it does not mean that I am stupid or do not mean that I feel any the less sad about our current predicament. Please don`t think that I am simple minded.

I apologise if this clashes with any other threads but after a few glasses of wine and a couple of glasses of expensive port, (check punctuation! I am still copmis mentis!!) I really feel like I have to say exactly how I feel. I am nearly 60 (yes ****ing 60) years old. I am sat watching The Who at The Isle of Wight on Sky Arts. I am thinking about my years on this earth and the important part that Saints have played in them. Of all of the things that have been important to me in all of that time, The Saints are the thing that have been with me as long as I can remember. They have been important to my grandfather and to my father. Suddenly there are people in charge of "our" club that only have an interest in "their investment" and have no interest in the history or relevance of SFC to the wider community of our city. The "Spirit of Southampton" if you will. I feel at a complete loss as to what to do. Someone please help me!! I . I have lost the Speedway, I have lost the Ice Rink, I have lost the Lido. I have lost so much that is "Southampton" and I cannot face the loss of SFC. Please somebody, do something!!!

Not especially well known but a great loss to music.

And they were booed off by all accounts.

Not the old Burley "GEL" thing again!
-
Not a fan then??
-
Oh yeah! He and Gasmi as our "engine room" will save us!

Bet it was an "Own Goal"!

Sadly, that now seems to be the case. Fire-fighting, Crisis management, call it what you will.:(

Agreed, plus some that we have signed have failed to deliver (Wooton) and others seem to be injured more often than not (Morgan S and Holmes).

I think the point is that Cork was one of the very few bright spots in a very dark season. All of the indications were that he liked it here and that he was going to stay. It has come as quite a shock to people that he has not only gone, but gone to a relegation rival, who had already signed another defender on loan from Arsenal. It is not just the fact that he has gone but coupled with our rivals apparent strengthening that I think has really upset posters so much.

This does remind me of some of the Nazi anti-Jewish "information" films from the mid 30`s.

Currently watching "Dances With Wolves" on BBC 2. Wonderful film. One of my very favourites. Fabulous soundtrack too.
-
Boy, is the lack of proper history on the National Curriculum starting to show!
-
If this is true I am completely gutted. I was more concerned about losing Cork than Lallana and/or Surman.

They are as bad as each other. I know that it is simplistic but they both have to have regard for each others right to exist. Continual talk of "driving the Israelis into the sea" is not only unhelpful - it is plainly never going to happen. The size of missiles is irrelevant. Both large and small are designed to kill.
