  1. Really good to have you back and with a good post.
  2. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=txvSiszUrBo Is this Homer Simpson or JP making the same mistakes over and over again?

  4. I don`t quite understand this. Are you suggesting that Lowe is, in fact, a unifying figure and that it is just a very small amount of people with axes to grind that are causing unrest for no reason?
  5. O.K. heres mine. A few years ago I was at a company do at New Place near Shedfield. At the end of the evening I went to the toilet before leaving. I had not been drinking as I was driving. I was stood at the urinal "doing the business" and there was nobody else in there with me. I heard the door of the toilets open and I heard and "felt" footsteps walk through the toilets, past the basins and round behind me, but there was nobody there. I didn`t feel scared. It was just a feeling of, I suppose, "wonder" that something unusual was happening.
  6. Black Armbands.
  7. Firstly, I am no fan of Lowe, Wilde or Crouch. As far as I am concerned they are all killing the club or allowing the club to die in their own ways. Secondly, I have been supporting this club through thick and thin for over 50 years and have been (and still am) a ST holder for 35 years so I like to think that I do have a brain when it comes to SFC. My grouse is with the decision making that The Chairman makes. He is only too happy to take credit when things go well but not so forthcoming when it all goes wrong. I can accept things that happen on the pitch inluding injuries are part of what football is all about. What I cannot accept is the repetition of bad decisions. The loss of Souness, the appointments of Gray, (esp) Wigley and Sturrock, and possibly (time will tell) the dismissal of Pearson. Had Lowe appointed a suitable replacement for Strachan, the results against Middlesbrough and Everton (and Villa??) would probably have been irrelevant. We should never have been in the position that we were when Redknapp arrived.
  8. The damage was really done with the appointment of Wigley. Athough Redknapp had time to keep us up, the rot had set in. At the beginning of the relegation season, Mr Lowe said that we had the strongest squad that we ever had. Did you believe that? Lack of investment in the team after the Cup Final, the subsequent loss of WGS and non-appointment of a suitable replacement are real causes of the current problems. Was Redknapp a good appointment?? Who made that appointment?
  9. Probably not but it is possible that the players talk to each other and both Surman and Lallana MAY have some idea already regarding their own future.
  10. Good question, but what can we honestly do to change things? We have had low crowds and we have large crowds (yesterday) and it`s made no difference. All the while that Rupert has control and a pig-headedness that he is right we are powerless.
  11. I am a real sucker for Christmas and love every minute of it. To me, music is an important part of it and I normally end up buying a Christmas CD or two every year. My favourite is "James Taylor at Christmas" which is a wonderful collection of songs, as warming as a shot of Napoleon brandy on a cold night, closely followed by this years "Sweet Bells" by Kate Rusby. Does anyone else have any Christmas music favourites?
  12. Oh please grow up!! Can you ever post anything without Hoddles name in it? Firstly he is not the Messiah, he is a very average manager (please by all means post his "Roll of Honour"). Secondly our current problems started when RL failed to loosen the purse strings after the FA Cup Final and WGS left. IMHO Strachan was/is a far better manager than the "Sainted" Hoddle and much more of a loss. In the back of my mind, however, I have the feeling that you are just a WUM in the mould of scooby with your apparent GH fixation. I hope that for your sake you are because if you are not you do have a problem!
  13. Sadly we have already had the Second Coming so we may have to wait another 2000 years.

  18. Amazed to find this on Youtube:- http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=HcVTdukYh7M
  19. Found this on a Speedway forum:- I currently work for William Hill, and you can imagine my shock today when I discovered from Monday, we will be offering Virtual Speedway to bet on! For those that are not aware, we currently offer Virtual Horse Racing and Dog Racing. Its effectively cartoons to fill in the day between Horse Racing and Dog Racing, anything to skint the punters a bit more Anyway, I go in today, and there it is. Virtual Speedway. From Monday you can bet at Velocity Park. Here is a demo... http://www.inspiredvirtual.com/video/video...ps/Speedway.flv With riders like Andersen Hansen and Cornish, its clearly a link to current GP Speedway riders. Oddly enough, could this be the breakthrough Speedway needs?? If it proves popular, it maybe easier to gain sponsorship deals from bookmakers. I find it interesting, odd, and quite amazing. Is it possible that William Hills may expand to screening the real thing Who knows.....it cannot be a bad thing. As a Speedway fan, I find it naff and wouldn't touch it. However, I am excited about seeing it every day at work, and seeing the use of riders names! It will be in 2000 shops across the UK from Monday. Mind-boggling.
  20. Oooops....!:-&
  21. How much do you think that it would take to sign Cork in current circumstances?
  22. I am sure that the results of your protest - not watching the game on TV - will revererate around St Marys and create the changes that you desire.
