Could be even later. The shop on the corner where the old Travel Club used to be is not there. There are cars parked on the site.

I think you will find that he is not a developer but is involved in tele-communications.

I was there and I believe that the policeman concerned was a well known local character called "Tiny" who was, needless to say, a big guy! Was a classic moment.

I tend to agree. It was obvious after Palace last year that we were in for a "not very exciting" season. I think the word that best describes last season is "frustrating". We could all see that GB had lost it. His team selections baffled everyone and there was nothing that we could do about it. I think that this season is going to be interesting /exciting in equal measures. I am not suggesting that we are going to set the World alight but I can`t see us rolling over and dying as many times as we did last year.

I agree. It is a very good film but certainly not the best film ever made as some would have. I feel that the same thing applies to "Pulp Fiction". Someone on TSF recently posted that this was the best ever film. Good film but not even close to being the greatest.

When you consider that they put their lives on the line each time that they race it`s incredible. Most top riders race in 3 leagues each week (UK, Poland and Sweden), 4/5 races a night, and have GP and World Cup commitments, they can race some times 4 or 5 evenings a week, on top of the travelling! I have seen some horrendous crashes and injuries, but more often than not the guys get back on their machines and get on with it. The rewards are nowhere near as good as most professional sports so most do it for the love of the sport. I just wish that we could get it back in Southampton.

Neither do oranges if they`re made by Terrys!

I believe I heard that things like baked beans and jam ( although not necessarily at the same time!) can constitute part of your "5-a-day". Not sure that these will make any difference to the regularity of your visits to the bog though.

Wightlink do an all-in-one ticket for the Isle of Wight "Islanders" speedway. Around £20 for return ferry fare, bus to the Smallbrook and entry to the meeting. Good deal I think. Speedway is an excellent sport and HAS to be seen live for the noise, the smell and the excitement.

I thjink to be fair that Bomber has had more than his fair share of knocks this season. Hardly a week seems to go by without him having a nasty! His tumble at the British GP was not good. Poole are doing remarkably well this season without too many "star" names. "Noddy" has been a bit of a revelation this year.
