  1. A name from the past....
  2. As we have had the pre-match presser and the possibility of calling the game off wasn't mentioned, unless something really drastic happens, look like it will go ahead.....
  3. 😳 Mysoginistic, sexist....your asking to be deplatformed!!
  4. I always feel a bit sad when I see the amount of stick that Shane Long gets on here. I know that he doesn't get the goals that everyone would like, but I don't think that there is a more honest, hard working player in the squad......never gives less than 100%. The sort of player that people used to like at this club. Well done on last night, Shane!!
  5. We never had any news from Mr Gao.....
  6. Yes...maybe you are right. I suppose that having had an "absent" silent owner for the last few years, I just wanted to hear some positivity from the horses mouth....
  7. I am not sure if I have missed something, but I am a bit surprised that we haven't heard anything much from our new owners. Maybe a Press Conference to hear directly from the horses mouth regarding plans/direction? Apart from a couple of printed statements and the MS interview, it seems to be fairly quiet.
  8. I have seen a couple of mentions of Lyanco leaving and Perraud wanted by Newcastle. Anyone know where these rumours are coming from?
  9. Not sure if this has been posted before....
  10. A bit like accusations that Markus was an SS Tank Driver during WWll.....that sort of thing? Oops....just seen a previous reply...🙈
  11. Nope.....Cultural Appropriation.....or summink......innit?
  12. Sometimes??🤔
  13. Perhaps the fairest way would to play postponed matches without players signed in the January transfer window?
  14. "Former Chelsea and Manchester City goalkeeper Willy Caballero is set to land a permanent contract at Southampton. The Argentine put pen to paper on a deal until only January 5, by which time injured duo Alex McCarthy and Fraser Forster are both expected to be back fit and ready to play in the Premier League. "It would make sense for us to keep him and we have this in our mind to extend his contract. I am sure he will help us long term. "There is a big chance he stays with us." "He is absolutely a good guy, it also shows on the pitch that he can help us" "He's played two games and, especially against Palace, you can feel that he is getting better with every game, more confident. This is what you need when you step in as a new goalkeeper."
  15. I know that there is another thread on this somewhere but I can't find it.
  16. Aha....thanks....
  17. Thank you Chris Whitty.....
  18. Is there or has there been a presser for this game?
  19. I see what you did there.....
  20. OK.....now that the title of the thread has changed...... Firstly, we had (and still have) the inability to tell the difference between "of" and "have", as in "could of" instead of "could have". Then we have people who can't differentiate between "there", "their" and "they're". More recently it is "our" and "are" that seem to be giving people problems. The latest issue seems to be the difference between "then" and "than" that trips people up. Is it that our language is too difficult for people to grasp, or is it that they just can't be bothered? As long as you make yourself understood, the rules of the language don't matter?
  21. "Nothing happens.....twice...."
  22. A free Willy?
  23. Adam Blackmore @AdamBlackmore Southampton have signed Willy Caballero on a one month deal The 40 yr-old ‘keeper will cover for injured duo Alex McCarthy and Fraser Forster until Jan 5th
  24. This just came up on FB:- https://lm.facebook.com/l.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.leicestermercury.co.uk%2Fsport%2Ffootball%2Ffootball-news%2Fproblem-plaguing-leicester-citys-season-6304646&h=AT2OjWd4vkAM7b0SRFYVXW2yK8F6YK6Z6szxEEmmh1jdTP924F1eATi5eFrqKF-1jOYoYwaHbTYTrJKRNzbzHhxMyXv3gExdKyfMQz1QruZTdwc2jxR0w2EqlNbjbu7qGI8Mk9Ohuxd-VHYIlA
  25. "Willy Caballero set for Southampton medical tomorrow ahead of signing a short-term deal following injuries to Alex McCarthy and Fraser Forster. The 40-year-old Argentine has been training with AFC Wimbledon to keep himself fit and key figures at the club acted quickly to wrap up a deal on Sunday. Caballero was keen to join as soon as he heard about the opportunity and one of the key attractions for Southampton was that his style will fit into the club’s goalkeeping playbook."
