  1. I suppose that it depends on who you believe. Having been to some of the Fans Forums at SMS and listening to the Solent one, I believe and trust Semmens and Co when he says that Gao doesn't interfere and leaves them alone to run the club and that all transfer monies are ploughed back into the business. You may believe something different of course...
  2. What known facts?
  3. Semmens has said numerous times that while Gao doesn't put money into the club, he doesn't take money out and that all transfer fees are ploughed back into the club as it is self-sustaining.
  4. Not sure if this has been posted before. https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/southampton-rainbow-kit-premier-league-24725613

  6. What was it Matthew Harding called us? Chelsea-on-Sea?
  7. Would prefer somebody from abroad. Armstrong is untried in the Prem.....or something...

  9. Doesn't the fact that during the same period we started getting results against the Top 6 count for anything? Something that we hadn't done for a few seasons? Is it just the negative that you get off on?
  10. Who decent is going to want to come into a club with our squad and no money? Be very careful what you wish for.....
  11. By saving a buck or two?
  12. But he is unproven in the Prem...and he is too short.
  13. I am less worried about the GK situation if the defence has been significantly tightened up. If a GK has a defence in front of him that he has confidence in it must help his performance.
  14. Not sure why a prolific scorer from the Championship can't be "promising". Does being from Europe make them naturally better than Championship players? What if the promising player from the Championship is European? At least a player from the Championship would already be used to living in this country and would presumably be used to the language etc,
  15. I am quite happy to give up my Forum name and allow SKD to have it.....
  16. Blimey! Sorry I spoke!! I was just responding to your remark that it's not our"traditional away kit". For most of my time supporting Saints it has been. Personally, I don't give flying f*** what colour we play away in.
  17. I have been watching Saints since around 1957. Most of that time I think the away kit has been yellow. I certainly remember during our Cup exploits in the early 60's we wore it.
  18. I saw her interviewing Dean Hammond and Matt Le Blanc on the beach.....

  20. Ah yes.....you could be on to something there.. .
  21. Is it this? "The Circle Game is a very short game. It has only one goal, but it never ends. There is no winner or loser. It's just meant to keep going until all parties forget it existed. The aim is simple: you create a circle with your thumb and forefinger – like the "OK" hand gesture (also known as the "That's a Spicy Meat-a-Ball" gesture) – and you draw someone's gaze to it. If the person(s) look at the circle, you are allowed to strike them on the arm with your fist. The circle must be below the waist; you can't just hold it up to someone's face and smack them. That's against the rules."
  22. Just posted on FB. Not sure ( being an old git) what the hand signals mean...
  23. Presumably the middle ground could be Leeds Utd after their "adventures" in Europe.....?
  24. Not sure if this has been posted before, but, IMHO, quite a good summary of MLT's career ( apart from David Wallace!)
  25. Latest madness....https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/aston-villa-romeu-southampton-transfer-20882332
