SAINTS 0-3 West Bromwich Albion // Post-Match Reaction
Ewell replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
This was a bad day at the office simple as that. Can anyone see us getting anything at Spurs or Sunderland away? I really can't. Thank god for Spurs equaliser as I wouldn't want to go into that Stoke home match needing a point to stay up. He is an excellent player and it may be nice to see if Chelsea really want to keep him by making a bid. -
The ref got both red cards spot on.

I missed out unfortunately. I was ready and waiting at 0830 and tried as soon as they went on sale at 9am. I spent a fair bit of time trying in-between doing some work but then **** hit the fan at work and my attempts at getting tickets was put on hold. By the time I returned t lunchtime all tickets were gone which was hardly a surprise. What annoys me is will anyone every develop a ticketing system that actually works without crashing out, falling over and telling you complete lies. At one point it told me I had actually already bought my quota of Stoke tickets which as I had not purchased any is simply not true. In any case to those who got tickets I hope you enjoy the game.

Savages new single, shut up!

Ticket now gone. holmessfc has agreed to purchase for face value plus 1st class recorded delivery. It will be posted today mate.
-
Ticket available here if anyone else is interested. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?44311-Swansea-Ticket-Available

Hi I have 1 Swansea ticket available as I can no longer make the game. It is available at face value which is £36.50. I am based in Banstead Surrey so priority will be given to those who can collect from any of the following locations. Croydon, Banstead or Reigate. I may be able to get the ticket to a Southampton address for your collection or I could post to you 'special delivery' at your cost. I can take payment by Paypal or Bank Transfer. Thanks Paul

An account from a Millwall fan that was there. http://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/comments/1ca34o/reports_of_a_30man_fight_in_the_stands_during_the/c9elwq1

It does not help specifically for this years games but it is nice to know the details from last season. I would say that knowing these details does not change my decision on holding off booking my trip until the SKY matches are confirmed. Now Di Canio is the Sunderland manager, they are in a relegation dog fight and the title race is almost over I would not be surprised if our match with them was picked out for live coverage. As pointed out by Sour Mash that is only the last fixture of the season. There will be other SKY matches on the weekend of the Sunderland trip.
-
Sometimes the transfer fee paid does not reflect the player you are. Some fans would do well to remember that.
-
On a side not I see SKY have not announced any fixtures yet for the Sunderland weekend. Does anyone know what days\times they are likely to be as I am waiting on booking my trip. http://www1.skysports.com/watch/football-on-sky

Will NA get a good response from Saints fans on Saturday
Ewell replied to Miltonroader07's topic in The Saints
If he doesn't get a standing ovation then there is something wrong with our support. -
Well for those of us 40+ please share (which is really the point of this thread).

What a complete idiot. Behaving like that particularly in front of his children is not acceptable. The bloke should be banned from St Mary's and hopefully social services will be informed as this bloke can obviously not handle the responsibility of looking after children.
-
I thought I would bump this as many would have already been on there way to the game on Saturday and it may interest some. not to the fashion police, please ignore and save your comments for a thread that interests you.
-
What a load of ****e. Why do we not just see where we end up? This is such a pointless thread.
-
This is not match wear at all...More on the beach, in the park or a pub beer garden in summer.

This website was mentioned on Soccer AM today. There are lots of Southampton options and I thought some of you may find this interesting. I quite fancied a Danny Wallace T-shirt but I cannot think of a decent or witty slogan. Any suggestions are most welcome. If anyone else has any decent witty slogans for other players then it would be nice to share on this thread. http://www.cultzeros.co.uk/search-by-team/52/southampton/

A mate at work has a season ticket at Anfield right on the half way line behind the dugouts so has a great view of the play every week. He has been saying they should drop Gerard all season as he feels he has become a liability and is far from the player he once was. I went to Anfield and thought Gerard had a good match against us up there and said mate said that was his only decent performance this season up to that point. My mate said he has improved a bit since but I think the writing is on the wall for him. I reckon he may retire by the end of next season, maybe injuries have just caught up with him.
-
Reading, Aston Villa and Saints. The writing is on the wall and there is only one man to blame. I really hope I am wrong but I fear for us.
-
What a quite brilliant contradiction. Well done sir.
-
It's time to Make Yoshida or Forren our left back cover. I would also rather see Matt Targett elevated to the first team rather than see Danny Fox in a Saints shirt again.
-
Really??? So he has not looked out of his depth all season when we played. It is no coincidence that his exit from the team and the emergence of Luke Shaw has made us more defensively sound. It is not just Shaw coming into the team that has done that. Fox should be sold this summer.

Most important player signing of past 3.5 years?
Ewell replied to Lallana's Left Peg's topic in The Saints
Anyone who does not say Rickie Lambert cannot have watched us much over the past few years. -
We have been in the bottom half all season and suddenly with 12 matches to go we are going to make a push into the top 10. The new manager has had very encouraging performances with quite mixed results and I can see us improving under him. The remit this season was always survival and the only people thinking we should make the top 10 are on Saints Forum or sat in the chairman's office at Southampton FC.
