Yep exactly what I was thinking. His words came across very well and he indicated that there was a lot of improvement in the team and the team would aim to finish higher next year. He also said the team would all be better for another years Premier League experience. I agree with the above comment about him being the 'Jewel' we cannot afford to lose. If I am honest seeing this interview is the first time in the past few weeks I have seen anything positive that he may well stay. I think the managers position this summer is the key and the players and management team are playing a united but very clever game with the board of directors. They obviously want the board to match their ambition and why not!

Maybe you should ask on the Man U forums and get one in your own end?

He is a great shout, I also think Wilfried Bony is a top player but getting him off Swansea will be impossible. I expect him to end up at a top 4 club eventually. We should have gone for him las summer instead of Osvaldo.

There can be no doubt that we have been using our full backs to provide width for the majority of this season but since JRod's injury we are even more reliant on them doing so. I think Shaw is doing a very good job but did anyone else get continually irritated by Clyne either not taking on his opposite number or continually passing the ball inside to a central midfielder and then not making a run forward to get the ball back but waiting in a deep lying position. The one time Clyne did make that forward run he could have been rewarded with a penalty for a handball. I honestly think he had a shocker yesterday and I think Chambers should be restored to the team for the next match. What does everyone else think?

RESTORE OUR RIGHT TO PRIORITY TICKETS FOR HOME GAMES - PLEASE!!!!!
Ewell replied to 42's topic in The Saints
Selling football tickets on is generally illegal. Added to that eBay usually remove such listings. That however does not stop someone buying tickets and selling on if they really want to go to the trouble to. It really isn't rife though as I do not think I have ever seen a tout at St Mary's for a Saints match. -

Does another family member who has been to 0 games deserve to get in ahead of a fan on the customer database who has been to 4 games? -
Just announced on Sky Sports and I honestly didn't see that coming. Well done Adam.

Hmmmm I am playing in a cup final that day ffs

Whilst I agree entirely with the sentiment of your post, feel grateful we have the manger we do, who plays this dynamic style of football we play this draconian Man United team are still 6 points, 5 goals and 1 place better off than us in the table.

Anyone else see us losing as a positive thing sometimes...
Ewell replied to Unbelievable Jeff's topic in The Saints
There is always a positive in defeat and that is that you learn from it. I am sure MP and his staff learn as much and if not more by poor performances and defeats than from when we play well. The players will also learn and with both of these things combined I would hope that they will be able to draw on these experiences in the future. -
I totally agree with this. All I will add to this is that with the growth of forums and social media they only seem to highlight the fans with extreme views one way or the other. Most Saints fans I know are very happy with how things are going and don't over react to a victory or defeat but judge us on how we do over the entire season. As far as I am concerned that is the way it should be.

Those saying they wont and cant get over it need to have a long hard look at themselves and adjust their priorities in life. What bloody bedwetters!

Teams getting relegated from the PL and potential signings
Ewell replied to doddisalegend's topic in The Saints
I disagree, he has been excellent in every game he has played against us this season. He is also better than Mayuka and Hooiveld and it could be debated either way that he is on the same level as Fonte. He has been very consistent for Sunderland this year. I would also add Ki of Sunderland to my list. -

I am struggling to understand why anyone would want the Fulham keeper he is awful and spills everything. The only ones I would look at are below. Norwich - Nathan Redmond Cardiff - Steven Caulker, David Marshall, Kenwyne Jones Fulham - Dan Burn Sunderland - Vito Mannone, Wes Brown West Brom - Saido Berahino, Ben Foster Crystal Palace -Tom Ince -
Do we need a new centre back or could Chambers play there?
Ewell replied to Dazza82's topic in The Saints
It appears the England Under 19's boss Noel Blake agrees with me! Chambers is in the first team at Saints at the moment and is doing very very well. “He can [play at centre back] all the time, but obviously that’s not my decision. “He’s played wide right and centre midfield and always turned out accomplished performances. “I personally think long term that Calum will make an excellent centre half. “He’s doing very well at right back but he’s got very good reading of the game and is very clever. “The reason why I selected him as a centre back is because I know what he’s like getting back and forward in the right back position. “I brought him off at half-time (Saints colleague Harrison Reed coming on in his place for his England under-19 debut) because I know he has a game on Saturday.” http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/11060140.Saints_youngsters_lauded/?ref=rss -
It appears there are the same jokers on here as in the Northam\Kingsland corner yesterday. Too many people are writing Lambert off and he will prove you all wrong.
-
Chambers has got quality centre back written all over him. Give him time to develop and that is where he will end up.

I have been 3 times. Once with a gf, once on a lads weekend and once with England. I have never had a thing stolen and on two occasions I was walking round the town battered. Be sensible and follow the general rules of being in public places and you shouldn't have any trouble. It's a brilliant city, probably my favourite in Europe.

Shock horror: Teams drawn for next round at the end of TV coverage and near completion of previous round. Nothing to see here move along please.

Utter nonsense. I will take the opinion of our Vice captain and his fellow central defensive partner over some shoddy journalist who probably wouldn't even be at the game. I see quite a few of our fans that were there also seem to agree with Fonte as well! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/26152142 http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/11003202.Yoshida_produces__faultless__performance/

No No No he is **** and we need another centre half as that is what the MAJORITY have been telling us all season. Well done Maya, great cover, great attitude http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/11000502.Maya_never_thought_to_quit/ and we are lucky to have him.

Lambo does not want to talk about it. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/10984168.Lambert_hopes_Hodgson_was_impressed_by_Saints__star_showing/

That looks like an anti gravity treadmill so he won't be full weight bearing on his injury.

Thanks mate, now stalking you on Twitter. Yes was a good day\night! It does look great doesn't it. A young vibrant English based team who seem to care for each other, the club and it's fans. It is a world apart from the journeymen who didn't give a **** in the last season of our last stint in the Prem.
