Let's all have a Pardie?
-
Don't Solent continue to do commentary anyway? But is that just for home games?
-
You still don't get it do you Um? The discussion has nothing to do with whether the accounts that exist are audio accounts or written reports. I told you that I clearly made a mistake in writing 'sound' when I would used ' written [because the radio solent fans forum audio recordings are frequently made available to us I would have guessed!] but that is only significant if you disbelieve the evidence put forward in the written account. So is that what you're saying? You don't think the account I provided is accurate? It seemed to tally with events as discussed on here around the time of the original meeting so I'd like to see you try and say it was all made up now!

why? -
it does if you understand the discussion! Besides, we didn't get relegated with Poortvleit in charge anyway! My point there was that Lawrie was reportedly standing up in front of a room full of crowded people, inc members of the public present due to owning a few shares in SFC, and Jan himself, directing a tirade at Lowe and declaring that SFC would get relegated with "that man" [Jan] in charge. Some people will say they agree with what he was saying, but that's neither here nor there. I'm more interested in the way in which he conducted himself there. It seems aggressive, very offensive to our then current manager and overly emotive. For his wife to then chip in about some silly painting and turn the whole thing into a farce, while our club was slowing being ripped to shreds, is abosolutely ridiculous. Whilst those with power should have been doing there best to formulate a plan that would have given us the best chance of survival for the season, they were too busy arguing, and communication had clearly broken down to the extent that nobody was helping to stabilise the situation. Moreover, by playing their part in the squabbles, all present were continuing to destabilise the club. That's what I was showing, but Um is still waiting for the audio transcript before he makes up his mind. He doesn't believe Lawrie did anything.

Um! You ruined Wes's game!

I've been discussing this with Reading people over the last couple of days and they are naturally very, very bitter about Pardew due to the way in which he left them! It's interesting to note that Pardew's record is actually better than Coppell's at Reading though! One things that does come up time and time again about him is that he says the right things for the benefit of the cameras even if he is saying different things (apparently!) behind close doors. There was the West Ham incident in which he was 'caught' slagging off their fans, which may be where the weight of theses accusations come from. Also, there have been claims that he's a bit naive (they said thick, but naive is perhaps a little gracious) and the 'controversies' section of his wiki page will give you more detail on this. Pardew seems to have left all 3 clubs under a huge cloud of negativity and praise for him is hard to find frm his ex-fans, but then not many managers manage to make leaving a positive thing do they?

Prob the one I posted the other day! It was excellent. -
That would be hilarious!
-
You're really hung up on that point Um when I never suggested they were the cornerstone of my argument; it's you that keeps saying so! It's you that started banging on about evidence, even though you know as well as I do what went on in the boardrooms of St Marys over the past few months; at a level necessary to engage in this debate anyway, i.e. was Lawrie squabbling with the rest of them? yes! I'm still waiting to see if you're going to claim that he played no part in the squabbling at all but you're avoiding that one!
-
You failed to read the post the first time and posted something which showed that was so. I thought it might help you if it was posted twice. If you wish to get involved in the discussion then do so, if you wish to have a childish (or macho as you call it) slanging match, go somewhere else.
-
I guess it does indirectly. He's the Chief Operations Officer isn't he? Is that the full title? It seems to imply he should be overseeing everything so I'd expect him to be present on match days. If he wasn't there, you can bet there would be a thread on here after a couple weeks suggesting that he wasn't doing his job properly!

Who on earth is guy the snake?

Does the fact that I referred to audio transcripts when only written ones exist really change the whole outcome of the discussion Um? It's the sort of legal loophole a sneaky barrister (new career choice for you?) may try to exploit, but for the sake of common sense debate, I'd expect a little more pragmatism from you.
-
You are so funny Um ... now I know why you got your nickname.
-
Only in your eyes Um, and that was in the other argument you tried to twist out of the original one. I also provided your evidence you so desperately craved but you sulked because it wasn't in the correct format! You still haven't told me how not wanting to listen to Lawrie shows disrespect which is what the discussion was about before you twsited it. Rather, you're desperate that we debate how much of an evil or innocent Lawrie was in the downfall of SFC.
-
no excuses from you my boy as the answer was staring you in the face... you need to reread the thread as you've clearly failed to grasp the order of events ... op = lawrie's on the radio me = i've no interest in listening to what he has to say somebody else = why on earth not me= my most recent memory of him is in all those bitter boardroom shenanigans and I never want any of those people chipping in with a word or two ever again the lawrie fanclub = HOW DARE YOU DISRESPECT OUR GREATEST MANAGER WHO EVER LIVED? WE SHALL LISTEN TO HIS WORDS FOREVER MORE.
-
Exactly. Markus did say in his first interview that he will buy his own ticket and that he expects his executive staff to do so as well. IMO he got this one the wrong way round, I don't see why people such as Oldknow who are at the games in a professional capacity should have to pay. I would however be extremely disappointed if we are still handing out freebie guest tickets to Lowe, Crouch, Lawrie, Wilde, Corbett, Richards, Jones, Wiseman or any other of hangers on from the old era. They're all welcome as fans, but they need to pay up.

You have the reading age of a gnat.

All I know is they have giggly little idents which slate Portsmouth.

i can, but i thought he might be better off given a narrower list examples who had more in common! Clough and Pardew had an entriely different set of circumstances dictating their arrival and departures from Leeds and Charllton!
-
Are you flirting with me?
-
Please don't tell me you tried to draw a parallel between Pardew and Clough!
