I was and still am utterly embarrassed by the conduct of a large proportion of our supposed 'fans' as far as the treatment of Jones is concerned. We have one of the worst fanbases in terms of sitting in silence in our flat pack stadium and now we dont even get behind our own manager at the start of their employment. It is utterly, utterly embarrassing. We could learn a thing or two off the blue lot down the road sometimes.

Jones has proven the bedwetters wrong. Rather than Jones out, it should be 'critics out'.

That's just blinkered thinking . We weren't awful and we passed the ball for large stretches of the game. People need to drop the confirmation bias and actually see what's in front of them. Next step is to actually work the keeper and not rely on opposition mistakes for goals.

The club knew what he was up to at the time. We contacted the club back in the early 1990s for a reference on him after considering an application to the Bob Higgins Soccer Academy he had set up after his departure from Saints. A known figure at the club (might have been Dennis Rofe) advised us to steer well clear of him due to the dubious circumstances of his departure.

Take the **** all you want but if "200" (probably an exaggeration) got in without tickets, it raises serious safety concerns.
