  1. I wondered if anybody else was aware that the ticket office are holding back the seats purchased in the 'Final Ten' bundle last season until the middle of July so as to reserve them for those people if they want to buy season tickets? Last year's season ticket holders are currently able to renew their own seat or move to another seat, but they cannot move to a seat that was held by a season ticket holder last year, or to a seat that was purchased as part of the 'Final Ten' bundle. Seats purchased as season ticket seats last year will all be released on the 2nd July if they haven't been renewed, but seats that were purchased under the 'Final Ten' bundle are being held until the "middle of July" (I haven't had a confirmed date from the Ticket Office yet), in order to give those people the first two weeks of July to buy them as season ticket seats if they want to. Why is this at all important? Primarily because season ticket holders from last year like myself are now being told we can't get at certain seats until the middle of July, by which time we will have lost our original seat and lost a renewal discount. There's also the odd fact that all the promotional literature for the Final Ten bundle said that purchasers of the bundle didn't get any privileges other than those listed in the document, but now it turns out the club are actually holding the seats for them. Just thought I'd post this because it might be of interest to people who are trying to move seats but are struggling to find something in the area they want. It's because the club areholding back more seats than we may have first thought!
  2. If he's on his way here, surely some pesky kid would have taken a picture through a window of Guthrie in a Saints scarf.
  3. Isn't the usual drill that the company check the car with you present and sign to say it's ok? If you don't have their confirmation that it's ok before you depart, then I'd have thought it would be very difficult to prove that there wasn't any damage on the car.
  4. Ah ... so this is why I have taken the opinion that TSW is full of ****e. Back to Twitter then...
  5. I'm really happy with it on balance. It definitely has more downtime than I've experienced on either O2, Voda, Orange or T-Mobile though. In the three months I've been with them Southampton has been subject to one major data disruption which lasted a whole day and one smaller disruption last week for a couple of hours. I may have joined at an unlucky time though. The ludicrously cheap prices, great coverage and high speed data make up for these minor inconveniences though.
  6. Where do you get this rubbish from?
  7. You heard wrong then.
  8. Tbh If he closed his Twitter account just because one idiot made false allegations about his fiancee then he needs to grow some balls. He's somebody in the public eye, is going to attract the odd nutter or two and can't let everyone of them get to him. I wonder whether he's perhaps been taking more abuse than we are aware of, or whether there is some situation involving Emily which makes the whole thing more sensitive. At the end of the day, none of it's really our business and I'm sure he'll do as he likes.
  9. As far as bad ones go, it's hard to top that God-awful Indian Melody place in town. Has anybody else been unfortunate enough to set foot in there?
  10. Another meaningless comparison ticket price thread. Brilliant.
  11. I honestly think any Prem club willing to take a punt on him has more money than sense, given the size of the wages I expect he'll still demand.
  12. Paul Lambert will be the new liverpool manager I reckon.
  13. We've had pl;entry of chances to move him on before but all the time we demand unrealistic sums it's not going to happen. We should cut our losses and get rid.
  14. That's another thing you only see in poor areas. Like feeding time at the zoo.
  15. ps: if you've got a mkv gti which you're selling you might want to pm me the details as I'm looking at them at the moment.
  16. Get a top nick MkV Ed30 and save yourself £15k?
  17. Only if you think they all weigh exactly the same and share 100% common parts. Why would you not want a car which looks good and tops the customer satisfaction surveys?
  18. People wearing replica football shirts.
  19. The man on about the Fabia Vrs knows what he's on about. There's a guy on the owners' forum - briskoda.net who is running a Mk1 Fabia Vrs which looks almost standard, but is producing 265bhp and 400 torques. It's doing 0-60mph in about 5secs but he can still get 60mpg on a motorway run. These are ridiculous figures.
  20. If you call sticking your finger up your bum hole in the stadium toilets a celebration then yes, I guess you did.
  21. Seems a little strange to me. Last year we had the All Saints Day game (if that's what it was called) where everyone could turn up and soak up the post-season atmosphere, and even though they didn't overtly go on and on about promotion there was a definitely a celebration atmosphere of sorts. I wasn't in favour of a bus parade this year as it seems a little over the top, and I think it's the sort of thing that should be reserved for Cup Final wins, but I thought the club would have done something to allow all fans to have the chance to officially celebrate the season's success. Oh well. Don't people think it's a little odd though?
  22. Perhaps the club shouldn't be discounting renewals, and perhaps they should heavily discount first time season ticket purchases instead in an effort to encourage new fans who want to come and see Premier League Football. Renewals could be priced at between £600 and £700 depending on which area of the ground you buy a seat in, whilst new tickets could be at an introductory rate of no more than £400 for the first season only. Us regular season ticket holders who will go whatever really don't need any price incentive to make us buy our tickets; we'll be there whatever!
  23. Didn't our resident sooper fans say it was just us that dressed up like losers? What will the Middlesborough fans say?
  24. All this from the bloke who was waving his willy around in the street last Sunday evening. What a guy.
  25. If this is not clutching at straws by fans of other teams, then I don't know what is. Enjoy it ... people are jealous of the Saints again!
