  1. Redmond is sleeping with Ralph
  2. Come on Saints, quick fire couple of goals just to shut up Fuckwit Carragher
  3. Aside from leaving the Badge alone - there is nowt wrong with it. It’s great to see above the first cast members of this years Panto at the Mayflower, CB and MLG are busy practising their parts 😜
  4. As was said in commentary when Fofana took his moment to feed - whilst drinking the bottle of Orange whatever "That certainly isn't touching the sides"
  5. Exactly! Anyone who was at the away game at Wolves where he spent a third of the second half changing his boots, leaving us down to 10, and is still holding a candle for the guy: they really have been fooling themselves about themselves for years!!
  6. I think if we had held out for the 1-1 Coleman would have given Salisu man of the match, going by the amount of deserved sunshine he was blowing up his chuff.
  7. The whole shit-show is summed up in the letting in of the penalty - I’m a fat lad sat watching in north Hampshire and knew which way McCarthy was going to dive for that penalty 3 weeks ago. Every penalty taker in this league knows that both our keepers default setting is to dive right. Just like the discipline of just about every defence in the league is drilled hard not to foul any of our players just outside the box. We are being read like a book -and looking at all the squads at Southampton (Ladies excluded) seems this fabled play book isn’t proving to be a best seller. Since Koeman left it really has been a steaming pile - the way we fade is pretty shabby Poch had the team playing for 90+ plus minutes - Jack Cork said that you needed 2 hearts to survive his training sessions. Turn back the clock to Strachan before he got into them the atmosphere in the ground changed at 80 minutes as we held onto a lead (often failing) - once WGS had his way the last 10 mins were often the best as he had them conditioned for 120 minutes. You can’t say “oh the game has moved on since then” Just about every other team is pushing us in the latter stages of the game and we are blowing out of ours arses, the disallowed goal, once again KWP is exposed because Armstrong is spent to make the covering run. I have been a glass half full Saints fan for many years - but my glass is beginning to look a bit empty. Hey-ho a weekend off.
  8. I had a long day yesterday away from our general chit chat on the subject - but being in the car obviously heard general hoo-ha on the radio. The one thing that stuck out was the president of Real Madrid spouting forth that the youth are less interested in football due to boring games etc. My instant thought was “well in Spain thats of your own doing” - pretty certain that Real Madrid and Barcelona take 55% of the TV money divi up and the rest of La Liga have to make do with the remains, so everyone else is conveniently set up as cannon fodder for the big 2. The weird bit is that unlike here, where your team is your team - there you support your team “AND” one of the big two. By hoovering up most of the TV money La Liga is a bit like Scottish annual 2 horse race, except there are a handful of tougher teams in Spain to spice the pot a little. The 6 of them here need a slap from the PL but that ain’t going to happen as they already have the whip hand.
  9. Got to hope Stevie Wonder has taken up scouting supplementing his income of a tour free year, for that to happen.
  10. Good to see the Ladies showing the chaps how its done, although anyone with half an eye on Saints ladies over the past couple of seasons will know that they have, more often than not, been better that the league they are trying to get out of. Next round will be interesting against WSL Birmingham City.
  11. Stop wishing your life away! Monday becomes Friday far too quickly at the moment - Friday night is Monday morning in the blink of an eye. Someone please find the handbrake.
  12. I have to admit to being pretty laissez faire about the game tomorrow - Chelsea in the final that is a bigger carrot, we can do them - on our day we can do anyone, just got to hope tomorrow is on our day for this month. My daughter, partner and my brand spanking new Grandson have blagged dinner round ours tomorrow evening - so I have to get my Masterchef hat on and get dinner on the pass in good time to settle down and hope! come on Saints 😇😇😇
  13. Well there was no doubting what was on the pitch last night - one team trying to make sure they didn’t get crocked for an FA Cup semi final versus a team managed by a bloke who has defied the odds to avoid relegation more often than not and if he succeeds, allegedly, will pocket a 7 figure bonus. Still I didn’t really give 2 hoots about the outcome as I had already received the result of the day thanks to my Daughter presenting me with my full membership into the Grandads club.😎
  14. Best get your prescription checked - everyone could see it was Jermaine Wright
  15. Did they find him on the training ground just going round and round in circles?! 😉
  16. Blimey looking at all the memories of Frank posted on here - that’s 2 boyhood footie stars gone in a week. Frank and Thunder-boots Peter Lorimer. We are getting old chaps!😢
  17. Funnily enough my first memory of him was coming to collect the ball for a corner whilst he was playing for Bolton (A young Sam Allardyce also playing). First home game after promotion in 1978, Ivan Golacs debut. I’m right at the front of the Milton Road end up he trots to pick up the ball, my first thought wasn’t Wow Frank Worthington! But jeez what a stink, it was like he bathed in liniment for hours every night rather that a quick rub over before the game (latterly -how he pulled the birds he did with that industrial scent - as it certainly wasn’t Brut). One of Footballs great characters from the days of proper footballers. RIP Frank
  18. Looked like he’d put his feet on the wrong legs when he got up this morning looking at his first few touches - can’t be easy coming on late repeatedly. I’d have thought there is a danger of trying too hard in an effort to get more pitch time.
  19. Yahoo - he’s found his level 🤪 Must have been reading the dogs abuse on here
  20. Motor racing is having a tough week. After losing Muddily Talker, another popular motoring TV personality has sadly passed away. Sabine Schmitz more commonly known from Top Gear for reducing the male presenters to mere gibbering wrecks with her driving has lost her fight with Cancer. Very dangerous ground making Women driver jokes in her vicinity, that girl could drive! RIP https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/motorsport/56420308
  21. Well if we are going down that route we might get an internal promotion Marieanne Spacey-Cale, seems to have had our ladies team smashing just about every team they have had put in front of them. If it wasn’t for Covid shutting down the lower divisions of women’s football for the last 2 seasons, our ladies team would have been getting closer and closer to the WSL.
  22. Think the lackadaisical, laissez faire attitude of the team was summed up as the minutes were vanishing - ball trundles back to their keeper who just stands there, we just stood there too, then someone must have said to Che “bloody go and make him pick it up”. I haven’t felt so “meh” at a Saints game for ages! I they don’t buck their ideas up, Bournemouth with a weekend off getting back to the big time will likely give us a right runaround.
  23. Hey you forgot “A Mars a day helps you work rest and play”! Without a doubt a legend of the highest order. Rest in Peace - Murray 😢
  24. No point giving Brighton too many minutes of tape to suss out how to stop Tella. Jack Stephen’s the interesting one I guess alongside JWP but rather than James dropping back between Bednarek and Vestergaard as he does in game Stephen’s will be doing that - someone said the other week that allegedly Stephen’s was training in midfield. Salisu might be too left footed to play on the right, whereas Bertie is experienced enough to do the job over there. Dont think many of us are holding their breath for a win (Sky chat has getting smashed into next week) but as Greavsie always said “it’s a funny old game - Saint”.
  25. Seems this Andrew Sparkes has had a positive influence on Fraser for one his kicking out has been much improved. The other thing with Fraser, the bloke is a unit with an Albatross like wingspan so anyone looking to shoot at our goal has to think a little more about putting it out of his reach which you hope gives the defenders that little bit more of a window to snuff out the chance. McGoldrick looked to chip him yesterday without shooting over, Fraser just stood there and picked the ball out of the air.
