looking at the current signings (as i doubt JP had that much to do with them) how many have been a bag of pooh and how many have been half good? Morgan is a gooden but smith (jury still out?) hasnt impressed so far. Gasmi is another that hasnt impressed so far but looks like he is in the plans so we should get to find out if he is a gooden or not. Who else is there? Pulis? Again the jury is out but im in the camp that will be suprised if he is going to be any good for us. Holmes has been good for us and Pearce wasnt too bad either so we are at about 50/50. Im not saying thats good enough and it shows him up as being no scout. It does mean however that with a 50% success rate he will continue bumbling along with us showing some signs of a recovery and some signs of failure.

TBF Smith was already here and had he been fit for his spell here then he probably wouldnt have been given another 6 months now. It would have either been the boot or a 2 year contract. The 6 months is just to see if he is going to cut it or not IMO. the other lad is a good move as we just dont have any recognised LB's. Skacel is there as a need but does anyone think we are getting the best out of him there? Add to that Skacel and Surman are probably 2 of our players that could actually get a fee if they moved on there chances of still being here in feb are pretty slim so getting a LB is a good move. As for Lowes previous form for getting players its been pretty much 50/50 on the players that seem to be his choices. the managers that have also brought players in dont have any better record IMO though.

Another Left Back????? Can you tell me who else in our squad is a left back? The way I see it is the new lad will be 1st choice LB before too long and mills will be his replacment with Skacel either gone or moved into midfield, Surman gone or staying in Midfield but if you look at the probable left side after the window is shut we will have the new lad as LB and Holmes on the Left wing. Surman and Skacel will probably be playing somewhere else but if they are still here they will be down the centre of out midfield.

Could give away the odd player to ease the wage bill? Shpliffsh sho we can all buy into thish total football?

had i had the chance to be on sultana talking positive about our club i wouldnt have been able to resist being as sarky as possible and commenting on how well this dependancy on youth and total football is going. points dont seem to matter which is why we are all loving it. I would have mentioned how we dont think pearson deserves to be a league 1 manager so as a club we are doing our upmost to trade places with his club so he can have a proper crack at CCC football. See how nice we are? Also taking into account how sorry we feel that poopy are heading in our direction we are also taking our step down to keep the status quo in local rivalry as we had the upper hand for so long and we dont want to swap back just yet as they havnt had there fair shot at being the higher club in the south. also our players are able to walk around our city without being recognised and mobbed. well i say city but i mean the local swings and slides but the toddlers that are there dont give them any hastle and treat them just the same as everyone else. Its great being a saint.

For a number of years I have wondered if I would like to move back home. I have often thought that I would if it was the same as it used to be. As when I was a kid I loved it there and wouldnt want to be anywhere else. But allot has changed and maybe its just because i have grown up, but when i visit now with my wife and kids there is very little that i feel i can point out that is an attraction any more. the odd focal point broken up by sh1te hole after sh1te hole and not allot that i would like to put my family anywhere near. As much as i love my home town and im saints through and through i love it for what it was and not what its become.

sounds good to me but if that were to happen my elation would quickly disapear as the realisation that our defence would have to try and cope with Defoe, Crouch and who ever Spuds get in this transfer window. I dont think i could handle the skates singing about how they dropped a division just so they could give us a spanking.

Would you BOYCOTT? Ways to get rid of Lowe and the board
saintjay77 replied to Wes Tender's topic in The Saints
I think it all depends on how the campaign is run. If its not organised and there are random banners and the odd swing lowe song plus various attendances with people not knowing what games they are meant to be boycotting or people breaking the boycott because its a game they want to see or even if the team start picking results up then it will be negative and wont have the right effect. a simple stratagy of 1st home game every month no matter who the opposition or how we are doing will be simple to follow and the support would quickly rise by including those that might still be sitting on the fence. The club would have positive support on the most part and 1 game per month the message would be loud and clear that Lowe and his gang are not welcome. the 1 problem after that however is there are still no viable alternatives that look like they can do any better and as long as Lowe and his gang are waiting in the wings we will never have a stable club. -
would have taken a point before the game but it hurts to lose those extra 2 points so late in the game.
-
Did anyone expect any points at all from today? other results look like they have gone against us but thats not our concern either.
-
ok now i have got a twitchy bum!!!! Any idea on how we are doing after the goal? All reading or are we coping?
-
OMG we scored at home? Get the F in!

JP told to calm down on the touchline!!! I know he said he would try to show a bit more pasion on the touchline but it doesnt fill me with confidence that he is learning how to act on the touchline by fans questions at the agm! There are plenty of managers that are not animated ffs so i dont see why he should change the way he does things because of what some no-body says at an agm. I want him to do a better job but dont think i am quailfied to tell him how to do it

thanks for the info

well i am usually positive and get let down so today i am being pesamistic (would help if i could spell it lol) in the hope that i will be surprised.
-
SSN says it looks like saints are the ones going for the win. Sets us up to lose it in the 93rd min then huh
-
i can see where your coming from but Lowe would still be in the background with those that support him and would still give us a split everything. onlywawy he will be gone forever will be if someone buys his shares.
-
says the registered user of saintsweb lol I used to pay for saintstv but got to the point where i dont see why we should be paying for a service that others get for free. if i still lived in the area i would be able to listen on solent so why should i pay for something that most saints fans can get for free?

cheers for the update. sounds like its back to playing a little better all beit without the bit that really matters.
-
anyone got any idea of how the game is going?
-
Jan in charge at Charlton today?
-
is there a game going on today?
-
I have no problem with the fans boycotting or demonstrating to show we are not happy with the status quo but I agree that anything we do is not going to get rid of lowe any more this time than it did last time. Even if crouch bought wildes shares lowe would still be in the background making waves. only when he is shareless and booted out completly along with those who proxy there shares too him will we be able to properly talk about the saints without worrying what Lowe is going to feck up next. Something has to change to get us winning but I dont see how singing swing lowe or boycotting will achieve it.

I voted although my vote is more hypothetical as I dont get toi many home games in the 1st place. But I voted that I would boycott a whole game if the fans agreed on it. Again hypothetically speaking, I would agree to boycott if it was organized and if it was not every game. I think the club still needs us no matter who is in charge so a re-occuring boycott of every other game or 1 game per month would send the clear message and still give the club a fighting chance in the mean time. -
the worry is we will be left with what started today or even weeker.
