I wonder how many interviews he has told us that "we need to win a game of football" and how many more times he will tell us?

I like what he generally says, I just find myself speed reading over it cause even after just 3 weeks I'm starting to think I have heard it all before. I'm not trying to complain because he backs up what he says with the team visibly improving each week. I honestly think we will carry on improving and push back up to the promotion spots so it's more of a niggle than something that hacks me off. The dark lord's posh voice used to do the same to me but he didn't do enough right to let it go as nothing more than a niggle. Lol

Is it just me or does anyone else think our Nigel speaks a load of waffle? Don't get me wrong as I think he is great for us and promotion is back on the cards this season. But he just seems to go on and on talking about winning a game of football!! Like we all thought it was going to be a game of ping pong or something. I'm not suggesting he should do anything differently or it's a bad thing but I read the OS and struggle to get to the end of anything he says. Anyone get what I mean?

As long as I dont have to do any real work I will be available.

I was thinking about Doble. Good enough to get called up for the full Welsh squad and I was suprised at how good he has been on FIFA11. No idea how good he is on that Manager game though which is the be all and end all of knowing if a player is ready or not Being away on international duty this weekend however stuffs it all up. lol

TBF if he broke the rules and got given a forced break from here. Then he will be back when the ban is over. Letting him back because someone likes him is as bad as banning you cause a mod don't like you. I've never been banned because I haven't broken the rules. It's not that difficult.

I think everyone needs to take a bit of a look at themselves for a second. The way this is going I wouldnt be suprised to find the site closed down as everyone that gave a toss before will have given up. The constant badgering and moaning at every little thing and then the torrent of abuse at anyone that disagree's is what is ruining this site. There is no reason why we cant debate all things Saints with a bit of humour or even a bit of competition like pretty much everyone here would do in a pub full of Saints. Without the Mods this place will resemble something more like a school playground with non stop name calling from the safty of hiding behind a teacher/keyboard. If every debate ends up in a personal attack on someones judgement or opinion then its not worth hanging about. Personally I like it here and up until recently its been worth joining in the debate. It seems that unless your prepared to agrue with a few internet mongs its not worth saying anything. The Pompey Take Over Saga seems to be the best place to have a decent debate and it pains me to say it but that debate is with a few skates!!!! Are we really being outdone by a few fishy ones? We the general users are what will make this site good or crap. Time for everyone to think what they want it to be and decide on how they can best join in I reckon.

Err read it again, "my wife thought it would be crap cause it's about football" was my wife's thoughts. When she actually watched it she was well into it as it was about so much more and the football bit was just the time all of it was going on. It wasn't what my wife expected and when all the episodes are available she wants to watch them. Either download of 4od.

My afc Pompey note was talking about if the punishment were to be that big it killed your club. Pompey wouldn't be finished and the true supporters would make an afc Pompey happen. I actually think the punishment should have been big enough to mean closure is a big possibility but with a lot of hard work and re-building it could have been avoidable. It seems however, the punishment was more like a bit of a finger wagging and the club has been able to carry on where it left off doing the same things that got it into so much mess in the 1st place. Through the best efforts of everyone that could have pulled the plug, you have people in charge that still want to get around the problems by creating more problems. The chances given should have meant you had a bigger chance of survival than anyone else has had with half the problems Pompey have had. But the way Pompey have carried on I think it's only a mater of time before your in the same boat as before with even less people around to throw a lifeline.

I would be happy to feel that Pompey have been punished for the cheating and lying in a fair way. Other clubs have been in crappy situations in the past and the FL have made examples of them. Your lot seem to continually get away with things and carry on as if nothing is wrong. If proper punishment were to mean your club folded then within 24 hours there would be a Pompey afc and I would hope that the true Pompey followers would make Pompey afc grow into a decent club that would be proud to support. I look forward to the local derby's that would eventually follow. No matter who comes out on top!

For what it's worth I think the modding on this site is better than it was on the previous site. Seems allot less bias and I have only seen people banned or infracted when they have broken the rules. I havent seen anyone complain about the rules so who ever mods next will no doubt get complained about if they mod according to the rules. I haven't seen ponty about for a while but in the past he always gave his opinion in a discussion without being allmighty about being a mod. If he or the other current mods don't get back in (don't see any reason why they shouldn't) then the new mods should treat the forum like they are a standard member but help keep the rules in check. Good luck to anyone who gets the chance.

I saw some of the 3rd episode I think. Wife thought it was going to be crap cause its about football so wasnt interested. There was naff all else on so I flicked it over. Saw some which didnt look too interesting (I put that down to not seeing the other episodes or the film so didnt know WTF was going on) Next thing I knew I was watching the r*pe scene others have mentioned and I was disturbingly hooked. One of those times when you are shocked at what your watching but find it hard to look away. Hard hitting viewing for sure. Wife was asking last night when its next on and we had already missed it so will be on the look out for on demand for the whole series.

haha fair point. My spelling and grammar leaves alot to be desired but at least people can generally understand what I am saying. Text speak is another pet hate of mine, Half the words are just as easy to spell correctly then in the cool text speak kind of way. A whole message in text speak often leaves me needing an translator. ;o)

kids talking all gangsta makes me cringe. I had some 12 year old kid gobbing off on XBLive a few months back at how he was going to "Bang you out blud" and other gangsta type insults. He wasnt amused when I gave him my address and said if he has enough pocket money to get the bus out of his home town I would be suprised. Still waiting for him to show up. I blame dizzee rascal as the kids are just copying what they hear in songs. I just dont think they realise how daft they sound or how a life working in McDonnalds is going to be there career targets if they want to carry on with that kind of act. Bless them. lol.

If he somehow manages to gain secured creditor status then that would in turn swing the HMRC vote to be above that 25% figure that they were after. I wonder if they have enough fight left in them to drag things back to court at there next opertunity or if they will just carry on taking on the simpletons that cant afford to fight them?

That might be all the "Black Holes" AA was talking about when he submitted the BP to the FL. When is it that they make a decission on that extra paper work anyway? Pompey had to wait for them to have a meating to ask for their golden shower, then were told to give more paper work which they seemed to take an age to do, then what? Do they wait till the next standard FL meating or are the FL working on getting things sorted ASAP?
