  1. Bing AI on the differences between Hassenhuttl and Marsch Here are some differences between Hasenhuttl’s tactics and Marsch’s tactics based on the web search results: Hasenhuttl prefers a 4-2-2-2 formation with wide midfielders being tucked in, while Marsch typically deploys a 4-2-3-1 shape with the three behind the striker attacking narrowly. Hasenhuttl’s tactics are recognized by the high pressing and the fast transitions, while Marsch’s tactics emphasize vertical play along the ground and counter-pressing. Hasenhuttl’s team has a slower build-up and tries to get the ball to James Ward-Prowse, while Marsch’s team has a forward-thinking build-up and tries to feed through-balls to Patrick Bamford.
  2. This bloke knows his football
  3. And let him know this isn't a match day.... Left To Die | The 1865
  4. Tell Juric about the Joiners, 1865 and the Engine Rooms before talking about the team...
  5. BIng Ai search comes up with the following on Juric when asked about his managerial style: Ivan Jurić’s managerial style is largely influenced by his former coach Gian Piero Gasperini, who is known for his high-intensity, attacking and pressing football. Jurić has installed a dynamic style of play in a 3-4-2-1 system that’s got everyone in Italy talking. He likes to use versatile and technically skilled players who can adapt to different roles and situations. He also demands a lot of aggression and energy from his players, both in defence and attack. He is not afraid to rotate his squad and give chances to young and inexperienced players4. He is also very passionate and expressive on the touchline, often celebrating goals with his players. Bing Ai search on Marsch Marsch is known for his high-pressing, high-intensity and attacking style of play, which he implemented at RB Salzburg in Austria, where he won two league titles and reached the Champions League knockout stages. He prefers to use a 4-2-2-2 system with flexible and versatile players who can switch roles and positions depending on the opposition. He is also a motivational and charismatic leader who likes to communicate with his players and staff in different languages.
  6. Are people failing to grasp who the owners of Southampton are? Ankersen is not an employee.
  7. So the general feeling I get from a number of posters is: 1/ we're definitely relegated. 2/ we should be able to entice the world's best coaches to the club. The expectations that some people have just aren't realistic.
  8. They do have the advantage of owning the Club.
  9. Marsch does look to favour a 4-2-3-1 system, probably the system that best fits our current players.
  10. Gallardo sounds the best fit. Maybe Caballero and Alcaraz will have some sway that would make us a more attractive draw than Leeds.
  11. Why separate out Selles over Martin, Sparks or Gross.? He's a club employee who was not part of Jones' posse, who arguably got sidelined when Jones came in.
  12. Selles promoted to Caretaker until the end of the season. An older saints head in to support. Maybe Adkins.
  13. But harsh seeing as Conte is just back from sabbatical after surgery.

Kept his council? Poch hid behind an interpreter while with us...
  15. the last manager was berated as he couldnt change formation. our current manager plays multiple formations in a game. I'm more interested in getting goals, as you cant win games without them. Luckily, our owners have backed our manager with people who can create goals.
  16. see below
  17. give it a rest.
  18. we need two to three points more than 3 of the teams around us. we have lost 7 games by a single goal. five of those because we couldn't score. I'd say its eminently possible.
  19. FFS, can you lot who have talked yourselves into a insular circular pit of toxic negativity not limit yourselves to one thread? We're a whole 3 points off 14th, and have just spent 60million give it an blooming rest.
  20. The same manager who during the first leg of the Semi final, had Salisu warm up in a differing position to the position he was starting in.? Let's not pretend we can prejudge this, because the whole point is we probably want Brentford to prejudge our formation based on today's B team game
  21. My word all the perpetual negative whingers are out in force this morning. 60 million spent with some exciting statistics to back them up. 7 of our losses this season have been by one goal, 5 of those as we couldn't score one goal. It is true that it is fine margins. It wont take much to change those into wins. We can start on Saturday.
  22. dont know where your stats are from, but these are on FBRef for the past year...
  23. No ones been announced yet officially.
  24. Think we should put a cheeky half time complaint in about their keepers shirt colour being too similar to ours.
