An observer Alex. I like to read and to use the translate button on Twitter and Bing, and given we share multiple parts of the business including scouting networks, Its useful to acquire rounded knowledge.

In the First season Since SR took over Göztepe they won 17, drew 10 and Lost 9. Average of 1.66 points per game. it was essentially a start from scratch. This season theyre further strengthening the squad and in the last couple of days have brought in Lasse Nielson from Malmo who is an extremely experienced CB. Yes there has been a problem with the pitch, we couldnt play our preseason friendly there, but he groundstaff have had to cope with hotter than usual tempertures in that part of the world. There are ups and downs, but to say its all negative would be to speak from ignorance.

I want to see wind direction reported on all Match statistics. What other way can we make sure that all historically accurate data is directly comparable.?

Exactly the same as he did to receive your ire.

Even so. if we pretend Xg is a valid stat (Which it isnt) its a team stat. So the Xg for teams attacking should be applied to the opposition NOT the goalkeeper of the opposition. Like in the 4-4 against Norwich none of the goals were Bazunus fault.

Facilitate them getting to the Play-off Finals as Chairman. pick off the blinkers and actually look at their run of games at the back end of last season.
-
Surely you should worry about "unexpected goals against" rather than "expected goals against".? "I didn't expect that one to go in"
-
Bit of a myth really. They made it to the play-off finals last year.

Very unusual for us to leak a number out, but it looks feasible its been done to soften the blow of another departure our way.

I believe "Circle Jerks" is the most accurate terminology. but good to see with two decent young players strongly linked.

We'll find out next season, wont we.

to quote Plymouth fan @Green Army 75 from the Plymouth match thread. "I’m really surprised how critical some of your fans are of your players!"

You are ludicrously myopic in your hatred of the current regime, even though the people who are running the show are pretty much 100% different to just three months ago. It is a fact that no other club in the second tier has received anyway near the incomings we have. We have turned playing assets acquired in the last few seasons have been turned into monetary assets to a better extent than anyone else. So far we have bought a Man City Kid who put in a Player of the match performance on Saturday, and a player who has previously worked with Martin, and chose us over Premier League Options. Last time I looked both players were involved in the first three matches of the season and we havent lost yet. Everyone know the financial prowess, we have. Everyone will have seen the league intent we have with the first 3 league games. The negativity you still hold is absolutely unwarranted

A Manager saying an injury is "short term" just before the transfer window shuts, is different from a manager saying an injury is "short term" after the window closes. ie. You dont want other clubs know you may need to get an extra player in.

Missed a lot of phone spelling corrections on my original post so hopefully it reads clearer now, but the whiskey was enjoyable last night...

That top players wage article was utter bull. They didn't even do basic research before posting it You would have had to be earning £133,000 a week to be earning £80,000 a week after a 40% contracted wage cut JWP was reportedly our highest salaries player at £100k a week, so there will be a grand total of zero players at Southampton currently on over £60k a week.

Do you think we struggled to sign strikers in January because of the outlook and uncertainty? Because that's what Everton will be having right now. It's not arrogance, just reality.
-
You never know. Completely different folk in the heirachy currently. Completely different outlook on the pitch.
-
Everton getting a 4-0 battering by Villa would certainly make people reluctant to move to the club. If the powers that be wanted to, now may be an opportunity to add two years to the contract.

First points of the Season for the other Sports Republic Clubs Game 3 for Valenciennes: Valencienne 0 - 0 Guincamp Game 2 for Göztepe: Ümraniyespor 0 - 0 Göztepe

No, we're not fortunate. Today we put in a performance with an injury hit squad. Players like A. Armstrong were relentless in going for the three points. We're currently the highest scorers in the league. The improvements in set pieces were obvious after a week of our new coach. It's time to get rid of the hangover negativity from last season. Time to enjoy this season. It's going to be a good one.
