There's certainly a lot of Marketing potential with some of Valenciennes players. Here's A Zinga.
  3. might be accurate or not.... Russell Martin deal is close and his replacement should be UK based - Swansea City News | Swansea Independent (fansnetwork.co.uk)
  4. I think people have misunderstanding of what a "Firesale" is A "firesale" only occurs when you're forced to accept any old money because you have to. As we still have even standing with other clubs, it is simply a normal "sale", on OUR terms.
  5. Burnley have never spent more than 15 Million on a player.
  6. Will Smallbone has been through much adversity on and off the pitch but is finally seeing hard work pay off | The Irish Sun (thesun.ie)
  7. Given we have literally no staff other than Wilcox (if he's started yet), I'd love to know who's negotiating these outgoings.
  8. Blimey, you must have some contacts to know they would be happy to come here.
  9. Fixed length playing contracts will probably be very different to month to month standard employment contracts. For a start, month to month employment contract WONT have 40% reduction in wages after relegation.
  10. Because to make McCarthy redundant you would have to pay him the remainder of his contract?
  11. Willy Caballero staying is a good sign as it would follow he's there to help Alcaraz contribute his adjustment to The British Language.
  12. Daily Echo reporting that WIlly Caballero is taking about a further year contract. Which is extremely positive as he has been instrumental in settling his compatriot Alcaraz in.
  13. Given the 5 stripes on the website, I would be surprised if we haven't got a red version of this.
  14. To further deduce the precise time point of the end of the season. When Wilcox was announced it said he was leaving at "the end of the season" his farewell interview was posted yesterday. Wilcox: I’m so proud of what we’ve achieved together (mancity.com) The end of the season may be upon us imminently.
  15. Citeh posted a Farewell Interview With Wilcox yesterday at 4pm... We may have some staff soon. Wilcox: I’m so proud of what we’ve achieved together (mancity.com)
  16. Last line of Tanwell's latest article confirms Andrew Sparkes has left as GK coach.

Just the second game since January they lost, in fairness.
  18. Beeb also saying it's down to compensation but the figures they're reporting are £2 million and £1.25 million. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/65779193
  19. With hundreds of staff on Consultation, 200k could be the difference for a couple of jobs. It's right they should be seen to be conserving cash where possible.
  20. From the rulebook it happens once Membership "share" transfer is made between the three relegated clubs and the three promoted clubs, as directed by the Premier League. But there is no specific date mentioned for the transfer to happen.
  21. That's what was reported yesterday by Alan Nixon. People can choose whether they believe that to be accurate or not, but thats what was reported. as I mentioned earlier the 22/23 rules stated the rules were in effect from 1/6/22 Whether the New seasons rules will start later this year due to the time slip of the Qatar World Cup is the question.
  22. Man City could have a sell on Clause That would mean for a £40 million sale we may have to give £5 million to Man City and end up with £35 million anyway.
  23. the Premier League Handbook 22/23 stated rules were effective from 1/6/22 So we could officially be a Championship Club today unless the PL season is affected by the timing of the FA Cup final.
  24. Mens team player wages for 2022 are stated in the accounts. "Year on Year player renumeration for the mens team decreased slightly to £87 million from £89.3 million. (58% of turnover)" but that was a year where we had reportedly a lot of high wages on the books (Forster etc) A contracted 40% reduction of first team wages has already been reported, which would put wages in the £50-55 million bracket for next year
