  1. A bona fide superfan (on the club's radar).
  2. He has to of course, but if McCarthy goes the replacement should provide competition and insurance.
  3. Wilcox is impressive, different class. Serious and ambitious. Bloody refreshing.
  4. Can play centre mid and centre half, would add some much needed height and utility in a long season. Could be a loan as with Norwich last year. Early work with Otis Redding and Wilson Pickett a good example of progressive soul, and Theme from Shaft still a surefire banger!
  5. Yes, electrical signals propagating and firing wave of neurons - a functional brain. In a dysfunctional brain this is impaired, or thought reactions are frequently unoriginal or reactive misunderstandings. Hope that helps x
  6. One for Jason Wilcox, ‘if you and Russell Martin had been appointed in September 2022 where do you think the club would be now?’ (Diplomacy practical 😉)
  7. Walter the softy finds Uncle Monty’s special dressing up box.
  8. I think that the reactive defence is emotional, mainly due to his age than any latent star quality - an error if you want your side to be as competitive as possible. Lumley looks like the usual 'third keeper' but if McCarthy goes things get interesting as we will have to bring in a credible replacement. Bazunu should welcome and benefit from genuine competition and / or mentorship.
  9. Only been there five minutes and pulled in the carpark. Clearly after his money!
  10. Equality in action, family club.
  11. Shaping up as a 9.75 window. He would look great in their grade two listed dugout in the drizzle.
  12. Wouldn't be able to lift it. Needs a few years on triangle.
  13. Ahead of his time yet again, a visionary. Since he got sacked he's probably cracked time travel.
  14. Fuck them and all who sail in them!
  15. Hold it in until at least £70m...
  16. Or Virgil van Dijk - the £13m six foot five inch, short-arse!
  17. It is, but a rarity and likely a weakness for a CB pairing in a team already lacking in height competing in a physical league. Then again, he could be the new Des Walker. I have a feeling that if he signs SFC will look to develop him as a defensive midfielder, he has all the attributes for that.
  18. Pal at work who is a Posh fan and his view is that Edwards is a very good technical footballer, low centre of gravity and close control, but only feasible at centre half in the middle of a three. Also said that his 'Wikipedia height' of 5'11 is a tad optimistic and much nearer to 5'9 in the flesh. Not sure we need anymore midgets or Wikipedia six-footers. Agree with you about Holgate and can't see the attraction. If he joins he would likely be our Maitland-Niles loan for this season.
  19. But then again living in London and rebuilding with Poch might sway the lad, it beats Toxteth and cuddles from Stephen Merchant's gurning Bavarian uncle. Good fun isn't it
  20. I shouldn't have said 'bawling out' - our skipper was much more measured in his critical intervention approach
  21. Lots going to depend on who we keep hold of. Can't see Walker-Peters still at SMS come the close of the transfer window, but would love to be wrong.
  22. Yes, the original post was meant to be light hearted, but never mind. For the record, from where I was sat Stephens was right on both occasions and in better control of his emotions than the fans.
  23. Never mind the quality feel the length…
  24. He’s a heartbeat player and we are going to need that. Cracking signing if it happens.
