  1. Were you watching his positioning and the way he was marshalling defenders at set pieces, also presence when Saints were attacking? I thought he looked like a solid all round pro. Our ‘forwards’ seemed to get fuck all change out of him!
  2. Thanks for that, was going from the programme. Your keeper looked a fucking unit last night.
  3. Conceding at home after twenty seconds is a disgrace. Doing so after being torn apart by also rans in the last game exacerbates that. Vardy ‘celebrated’ by running towards the family section goading and laughing at the home fans. How do you think other large provincial clubs should or would react to those two variables? How would Leeds or Boro or Sunderland fans react per se? If that little rat Vardy had tried that the last time we were in this division he would have got a more ‘traditional’ reaction. I thought that the home crowd stayed loyal and onside until the debacle developed in the second half. The Leicester fans were extremely quiet at 2-1 and only came to life when it was clear they were playing men v boys. How much shit should saints fans take before they’ve had enough humiliation to complain. Our fans are not difficult. They are nervous, passive and cynical because they are bloody punch drunk.
  4. You have to say for play to Maresca as his side were everything Saints were supposed to be last night. Positioning, nous, pace, and desire. If ever you want a textbook illustration of men versus boys this was it, watching the rat faced fuck Vardy bullying Taylor-Bellis and laughing at our defenders and fans off the ball was the icing on the cake. Every time we threatened there were two ranks of defenders and a keeper in Hermandsen who looked like a brick shithouse, organising and resetting what was in front of him. Last night we looked like a league one team who had drawn a Premier League side in the cup. Another point was that it seems that Leicester have managed to galvanise their remaining‘prem quality’ players post transfer window whereas ours, Adams, KWP, Alcaraz and Sulemana (aside from his 20 min showreel) looked like they’d rather be anywhere else than at st Mary’s. Martin should be able to get a tune out of this lot in this league, and a genuine rocket and reaction against Ipswich is a minimum to indicate competence and signal hope!
  5. Quite, quite beautiful. This sonnet could easily extend to several verses: Fuck off Westwood you inbred nonce God bless Chris Marsden, star baldy bonce Bernie Terrapin level at least.
  6. Agree, and looking forward to it, even after Sunderland. Think we will win 2-1.
  7. Unleash the Bazunettes:
  8. This is unfair as it's clear that he wouldn't be able to pick a basket of eggs up. Club are aware, and he's currently doing some great tricep conditioning work with a six pack of Fortnum & Mason quails eggs, but we are a couple of years away from a full basket. For goodness sake give him time.
  9. Who has scored for saints MB?
  10. Game being used to trial an experienced local goalie being brought in as a mentor to young Gavin Bazunu, Damien or David Icke I think he’s called.
  11. You did, this message board is a paragon of harsh reality.
  12. I think that we need to give the haircut reasonable time. The water in Southampton is notoriously hard and chalky and Martin said in his first press conference that it will take some time for the follicles to adapt to a the way he wants them to lay. Usual bedwetters on here criticising the state of his parting at Sunderland when he had to adapt to a hotel hairdryer and gel purchased at the motorway services only 24 hours before. Getting Nicky Clarke in as a split ends coach was a masterstroke by L'Oréal Republic and Vidal Sasoon wasn’t built in a day.
  13. High possession haircut. Lots of product.
  14. Finally some credible competition and experience in nets…
  15. If there is a mythical huge ceiling I doubt that he could reach it, both metaphorically and physically.
  16. I think it’s much deeper than that. Unbelievable given how long he’s been at the club!
  17. Makes you wonder if the upturn iin form coincided with a covert initial approach from Saints - pressure off and the doctrine eased off somewhat.
  18. Keeper aside (Larry, Curly and Mo) after the recent window we have a good deal of strength in depth across the squad for this league. No excuses, Martin should be able to get a tune out of this group in terms of dominating games and keeping clean sheets. I’ll take the points tally and current position but we should expect to see a clear incremental improvement from here as well as a reaction to the Sunderland debacle.
  19. I think it’s unfair to write him off so early in the season, give him time and he’ll get back to the top spot, three weeks should do it. #scapegoat
  20. Spot on!
  21. Yes, if only the pesky opposition would stop shooting at the goal and give Gavin the time and space he needs.
  22. This is the crux, and then he’ll be losing team mates as well as the crowd. In our first three games we got away with it, yesterday Mowbray had worked out how we’d set up and exactly who to target. More will follow his example. If Martin cares about Bazunu’s development beyond lip service and toeing the boardroom line he’ll take him out of the firing line, as Maresca’s Leicester side could well have him on toast.
  23. If he’s still here.
  24. Christ let’s hope so, even if Wilcox did a pin the tail on the donkey from that lot it would likely improve us. KS would be perfect.
  25. So were Norwich and QPR, clearly the weakness has been picked up. Anything on target has a chance of going in.
