  1. Seems there wasn't The hope keeps on killing!
  2. Mr TF is telling me that, according to their message boards, there's going to be some sort of announcement before their game!
  3. Good luck Sholing - from a Sholing girl born and bred!
  4. Hey! We agree on something
  5. For example: Bristol Bookfair Bootle Labour Party Big Society Leeds Westminster Trades Council Central London SWP (Socialist Workers' Party is a legitimate electioneering party) to name but a few. Hardly extremist organisations! I think you've hit the nail on the head, though. Facebook IS a right-minded site owner, with the emphasis on RIGHT.
  6. That's a fair point, although some of the other groups are legitimate political parties too. However, my objection is to Facebook deciding what people should / should not be able to read. I don't recall electing them as aribters of what is OK to look at.
  7. Imagine how boring life would be if we all agreed with you
  8. But it could be as late as 28th May if it is decided to try all 3 together I think (from that same article) Legal representatives for the three men, who are all on bail and who all strongly deny any wrongdoing, were told to be ready for a further directions hearing at Southwark crown court in London on 28 May. None appeared in person. Storrie has already been given a court date of 16 May 2011 and it is understood that the three men could yet be tried together, subject to legal argument.
  9. Funny you should say that - the BNP still has a live Facebook page, but it seems the EDL FB page has been closed down. Freedom of Speech huh?
  10. Well done boys! Very, very poor show server. Once again, even the BBC website updates quicker than this forum
  11. Going for a lucky tab - with a bit of luck the page might have refreshed whilst I'm outside
  12. Does posting a pic slow down the server even more? It's failed totally on 4 occasions for me so far today
  13. My son and grandson are going and I could have gone too but for a family wedding tomorrow. Brentford is the nearest reasonable team for my son to take the little chap to (safely) but the boy has become a Brentford fan! So my son has to sit in the 'home' end with his feet nailed to the floor!
  14. What is of some concern is that Facebook is reportedly closing down some 'anti' sites! http://choler.co.uk/?p=703
  15. Who wants to be a lady?
  16. No of course it's not a crime and I'll be one of the first to say, for example, that I thought Kate's brother to be drop-dead gorgeous. It IS the debasing and trivialising that's a tad tasteless. As for criticising swearing, well . I can, and do, swear with the best of you. My children are always saying 'Mother!!!!!' when I let rip!
  17. Let me tell you boys something. When I was a dancer, most of the work I did was cabaret. So we wore very skimpy costumes that left little to the imagination (think Hot Gossip if you're old enough). There would always be blokes leering and we'd play up to them - make them think they were god's gift to women. But all the time we were laughing at them behind their backs because they were 'challenged' in so many ways. The classic event was an Officers' Mess do for the RAF. One of the braying idiots thought it was hilarious to touch one of the girls when she was dancing. He was carrying a tray of drinks (walking right across the floor where we were dancing - very dangerous actually). And so it proved as the girl did a high kick, catching his drinks tray and his chin, such as it was. Funniest thing ever
  18. Some truth in that - and some women would be delighted to get comments like yours and others. Some women would find it rather sad that some men would choose to trivialise and objectify a pretty girl, or indeed any girl - especially as those men wouldn't stand a hope in hell of even getting remotely close to such a beauty. However, I do realise that some men do debase women in such a way. It's just a shame that their childish comments are posted on a (relatively) serious forum, hence my view that this thread should be in its rightful home - the Muppet show.
  19. Tenuous argument there, WSS. Prime Ministers do not have a 'divine right'. They are elected. Many MPs come from state schools and lived in council houses and are elected.
  20. Ah OK, I stand corrected. Although possibly 50% of those who bothered to watch would have been more entertained by the frocks and hats (and that's only the female viewers). I was of the opinion that TMS was the natural home for puerile, neanderthal comments and was named in honour of the sad muppets who choose to make such comments.
  21. Shouldn't this be moved to the Muppet club?
  22. We watched this last night and we also thought how 'ordinary' he seemed. What a shame so many over-paid, over-hyped young footballers don't follow his example. He came across as a really nice man.
  23. Potatoes?
  24. They're acting as Factors, really, aren't they?
  25. The only p*ssing going on in my house is me p*ssing myself laughing at you, once more, making false assumptions and resorting to stereotyping. I said I 'found it quite amusing'. If that's your idea of 'p*ssing', you must be incontinent.
