Here we go again - judging people before they're charged / tried / found guilty.

I'm sure some time ago someone mentioned what Mary did for a living. I thought it might have been 'On the March again' but, having searched his 20 posts (of which only one is in the archive ) I can't find this. Does anyone know what her job is / was?

TBF I don't think Maggie was a 'normal' woman

Mmm I know - I do the trip regularly. I think this time the problem was actually the repair of potholes on the A46. It was down to one lane apparently

She's not in the nick. Talk about propaganda lol. She's simply been re-arrested. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/7882765.stm I happen to think a female chairperson would be a great idea. Women are so much better at negotiation and keeping the peace than men. They have no need to have a p***ing competition and are used to having to be better at any given role than their male counterparts.

I don't want him to stay I don't think he's best for the club I don't know him so I can't say whether or not I like him. But I don't like what he's doing to the club

I have to admit I'm old enough to remember the 'good old days' when getting on the ladder was as tough as it is now. In those days you could only EVER borrow 3 x salary and a wife's income wasn't included in the calculation. When I was first married we had to rent for a couple of years (in spite of my husband's good wage) because we hadn't been able to save up a deposit (because my husband had only recently graduated / started work). Fortunately his company relocated and we were given relocation expenses that acted as a deposit. What I guess I'm saying is that it is often tough at the beginning and always has been but, given that this country is fixated on owning property, the market WILL adjust so that first-time buyers can get on the bottom rung. It has to, otherwise the whole market goes t*ts up and the economy wouldn't cope with that. There are schemes out there to help. My daughter and her teacher husband are waiting to hear if their application for a key worker assistance scheme has been successful so that they can buy their first place.

You know what Ponty - I usually go to Leicester through the back roads, quite near you (I imagine) and along Fosse Way but I thought the roads might be icy so plumped for the motorway instead. Damned if I did and damned 'cos I didn't. My colleague had to go to Worcester this morning and, luckily, chose back roads or he would have been stuck behind that awful crash involving the RAF boys at Burford. Weather eh? Tch!

One of my daughters works for an Estate Agent (she's not an estate agent herself I add hastily ). Her company is noticing a fair increase in enquiries and prices stabilising too.

Never mind snow - what about pothole repairs? I was supposed to be in Leicester this morning for a 9am meeting. Left home at 7 and sat on the M40 at Warwick for more than 90 mins only to get onto the roundabout for the A46 and to see it was at a standstill. Pothole repairs apparently. That's fine - they need to be repaired. But it looked likely that I wouldn't get to Leicester until mid-day. So I turned round and came back home. A waste of a day. :smt095

Do you suppose the victim went up to the boys and said 'Aloo'? Fetchin' my coat... -
I suspect the man wasn't able to keep his promises or live up to expectations

Luddite here! How can the fax be posted on here? Apart from typing it out, word for word. Oh........

Hmmmm tough one. I'm Avram Grant. Shall I go to Chelsea, a glamorous club where I'll get well paid? Or shall I go to Poopey, where I'll get paid peanuts and work in a sh*t hole? :-k

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/south_yorkshire/7880470.stm Sheffield Wednesday are to donate their shirt sponsorship money to the local Children's Hospital. I wonder if our club would do something similar? Oh ..........

Back to the OP and not wishing to teach any grandmothers to suck eggs....... Administration on the LSE website simply means that any dealings are being 'written up', followed by EoA (end of administration) meaning that the administrative processes of the day are ended.

I agree with you Um and what concerns me even more is the thought that they'll take a second payout when they're removed a second time!
