At the Sussex v Hampshire cricket and even the Brighton shirt has a plain back Although they only have a thin pinstripe! Not only that but it’s a slightly lighter blue than the rest of the shirt!! Very strange

The design is mmmmmm ok not too bad, bold, shame not a yellow in with the blue but it’s the back of the shirt, it just looks awful and cheap, when u think of how many of these are not having numbers on, same with the home the block part is just awful. Surely on both kits for the actual team they cd just put a black number over a white rectanglular shape. In the old days when floodlights weren’t so good and cameras weren’t everywhere it seemed easy to spot who was who. I wd love to go back to numbers 1-11, things were so simple! Do we actually need a players name on the back?

Ditto! Every season for the last 10 years or so we get a plain back , every year that happens I don’t get a shirt, just my lil protest. I use my remake of the old rank xerox one that was reinvented. Now that’s the only kit that we should alternate from proper stripes in my opinion, just to freshen things up now and then. Away kits , for me yellow and blue it’s just a colour that obviously has history for us but more importantly those colours could mean we just need two kits each season, design can be a bit inventive for that aslong as it’s something people wd want to buy.Not against a two year cycle either maybe change home and away alternatively aswell so fans aren’t having to fork too much each season.

I actually like it apart from the dartboard. nice bold stripes and on the back!

Mmmm black socks wd of preferred white , lil sheff Utd esqe as we can see but there we go. Shame we can’t have striped backs seems in the old days it was easier to see a black number not like today with all the cameras and HD it seems to be more difficult.

Keep ours as it’s fine in my eyes, instantly recognisable as the saints with the halo over the ball. I did think years ago the ball halo and scarf with Southampton Fc underneath cd be a good simpler alternative but I think keep what we have. Other teams seem to change and not make them any better.

And it’s striped on the back .. looks lovely … we couldn’t could we, just maybe get it right this time…

Yeah I get the 2 results this season but we were in a different place then , definitely think we had momentum and the game itself wasn’t a classic by all accounts I banned myself from watching and had no enthusiasm. End of day we never got to play.

Annoying thing is we wd of won the final easily!

I have a simpler version, 3rd place team are in the final , home dressing room, home kit blah giving them the advantage of more time to prepare, 4th plays 5th, playing a one off game with home advantage to the 4th placed team. Nice and simple.

Wouldn’t it be just our luck that our away shirt has a stripey yellow blue design on the back,, no surely not, we don’t do them anymore as is proved , so a yellow plain back it is …. mmmmmmm let’s see tomorrow!!

I see AFCB and Brentford’s new kits are stripey backs, how novel , have to say Brentford’s is really nice in my opinion, I saw our new one in the flesh today on somebody, looks great from the front…. I just don’t get who signs off our kits and thought we should have it plain yet again, … nothing we can do now what’s done is done, just a missed opportunity once again, I reckon they will only sell half as many as they would had it been finished.
