Stripey back , black number … how hard is that to sort?

Yeah I get the 2 results this season but we were in a different place then , definitely think we had momentum and the game itself wasn’t a classic by all accounts I banned myself from watching and had no enthusiasm. End of day we never got to play.

Annoying thing is we wd of won the final easily!

I have a simpler version, 3rd place team are in the final , home dressing room, home kit blah giving them the advantage of more time to prepare, 4th plays 5th, playing a one off game with home advantage to the 4th placed team. Nice and simple.

Wouldn’t it be just our luck that our away shirt has a stripey yellow blue design on the back,, no surely not, we don’t do them anymore as is proved , so a yellow plain back it is …. mmmmmmm let’s see tomorrow!!

I see AFCB and Brentford’s new kits are stripey backs, how novel , have to say Brentford’s is really nice in my opinion, I saw our new one in the flesh today on somebody, looks great from the front…. I just don’t get who signs off our kits and thought we should have it plain yet again, … nothing we can do now what’s done is done, just a missed opportunity once again, I reckon they will only sell half as many as they would had it been finished.

I bet and hope the shirt actually looks really nice when launched (from the front), if the so called rumours are true it’s just the back that lets it down if all white, if it’s anything like the knock off ones , they look awful quality then that’s a shame, fingers crossed I can cope with it.

Mmmmm well try telling that to Liverpool, all red, Man U , red shirts, Spurs White, Pompey blue…. There’s a clue there, it’s called tradition, we are red and white stripes! At least we can play around a little , am not averse to a decent take on it but we just get served up crap every season! red and white stripes are our colours!

Yeah that’s nice, the mind boggles why that’s so hard! The ironic thing is that club got their colours from us if you go through the history, year on year they seem to have a nice kit along with Athletico Madrid , again another team with Saints kit history.

Because if they make a really nice shirt with a historically and aesthetically pleasing design then lots of people will buy it creating more revenue for OUR club as without the fans there ceases to be a club. If you design something that is crap or at best a half finished mish mash then people won’t! Tradition actually means something to a lot of people. Nobody is wetting themselves and there’s nothing wrong with voicing an opinion , from what I have read on here most people are just annoyed as a nice design seems to have been ruined once again, if you like the shirt with a plain back then that’s up to you but don’t criticise those who don’t.

And just for a moment I was gonna get a new saints top, first time in years , then they ruin it as per with a plain back! Some people don’t care, they just don’t get tradition and just the fact it looks better with a black number in red and white (in my humble opinion). we have this knack of just getting it wrong every year, why is it so difficult and who keeps making it so????! obviously its not confirmed and am hoping it is stripes at the back, just have to wait and see but if these leaks are true then it just feels like another opportunity missed to sell a huge amount of nice shirts as it looks great from the front , just leaves a bit of a sour taste or that three walls of a room have been painted and the 4th wall just left as it was!

Congrats to Palace, it’s weird as I couldn’t get behind them as I want us to win something then I will totally support the underdog, childish I know but it frustrates me as saints could of won this more than once the last 30 years had we taken it more seriously. I agree, crowds won’t be very big and they will probably use one or two stands per match keeping it up to standard with all the red tape could be a bit of a ball ache , why not just play at the new ground. Looks very impressive.

I like our badge but if it was being tweaked you could lose the tree and put in the two red roses from the Southampton city crest . or a second idea would be to base the badge just around the halo and football/scarf, just have that with Southampton Fc in white letters on a black background underneath. or day I say a third idea just have the football and halo as it is with Southampton. Fc underneath and a red and white circle around the whole thing.

Ah Groundhog Day again, another mistake at the back , can we have a new betting game, which minute the first howler that leads to a goal will be , at least gives us something to look forward to every game enough is enough , this pissing around tippy tappy , it’s not going to be long before we get another record, lowest points total. what a disaster this is , the biggest supported club in the southern area and we get served this dog shit week in week out.

Here’s an idea, goalkeeper stay in goal and save shots, kick it out when a goal kick or throw if anything is on, don’t be a sweeper , defenders defend, get tackles in, reset, don’t be playmakers , midfielders go forwards, yes forwards, not backwards to defenders , they defend, try passing to the forwards or wingers, wingers , receive the ball and run down the wing,, then cross it, strikers, try and get on the end of a cross. don’t make substitutions unless it will enhance the team anyone willing to give this a go? could be revolutionary!
