Ivan Katalinic's 'tache

Not sure why Brereton Diaz gave up the ball. I thought I saw a stat which said he’s scored 7 from 7 who far, whilst Archer has never taken one. Not going to crucify him though; he’s gone from that horrific Sheffield United side to a Saints side not really creating much either which must be quite disheartening. He’s young and I think he’ll eventually be decent but maybe not leading the line just yet.

I actually saw him do football today. Looked alright considering the situation he quickly found himself in (thanks to Captain Fantastic).

Tammy Abraham, who some hoped for on here, off to Milan

With the window SLAMMING shut at 11pm tonight, maybe worth a separate thread to track all the action throughout the day? Will it be another deal sheet deadline day for Saints???

At this juncture, I feel I need to confirm I’m not Alex Crook.

Can’t help wondering if the hold up (if indeed there is one) is to do with Arsenal finalising their replacement before allowing Ramsdale to finalise his move. Given they had it virtually all agreed and the deadline is tomorrow, hopefully the pieces all start to fall into place imminently…

I wish Russ would be honest and admit it’s a rolling 2 weeks…

Ipswich sign Ogbene from Luton. I thought it had been a few hours since they’d bought someone… 😂

If he can stay clear of injury, €8m could be a steal for Bijlow. Classic Saints deal: Bijlow, sell high…

Just seen Jonathan Rowe of Norwich has signed for Marseille. I know some suggested he’d be a decent signing but not sure we were ever properly linked. It’ll be interesting to see how be gets on there as I thought he looked decent last season.

Even though we have 2 clear keeper links, I guess no-one will have come in before tomorrow so it's Macca time again?

Brighton sign Rutter for £40m. They’re stacked for forwards now and seem to be giving it a right go this year whilst others have FFP issues. Must’ve spent nearly £250m? Wonder if they’ll still want O’Riley too?

What the hell do I know?! Welcome Cameron and the second coming of Big Les… 😂

So, as things stand the “1 or 2 players before the weekend” feels a little unlikely unless we’re keeping something very under the radar given Russ’s remarks about Fraser and O’Riley today?

He probably got injured during the medical!

Or they'd hope he could do a decent job for 36 games against the rest of the league but they'd have 2 games where we had Macca in goal against them to boost their own goal difference?

No good on crosses

Me and the boy have been walking round the house singing this: BBD, easy as 1, 2, 3; he hates Pompey; BBD; 1, 2, 3 score for Saints FC! It’s crap but catchy 😅

Flying for his medical today I thought I read somewhere?

Celtic prepping for O'Riley's departure maybe?

We flew on a budget airline and the club were concerned that the lack of space meant he might get a knee injury banging them on the seat in front.

No idea if this chap is ITK but are we about to spend again in East London

I’ll get this cleared up. Steele swims at a local pool where my son is the lifeguard - I’ll get my son to ask if Steele thinks he’s Prem quality or not so we can get the verdict straight from the horse’s mouth. If the chat goes well, I’ll ask my son to get him to cover his particular strengths and weaknesses too. 👍

What’s happened to the Nathan Wood signing? I thought this one was done and dusted and due to be announced too?

I agree. 😉
