  1. A bit dated, all from his time at Midtjylland who he left in 2019. Im sure hes improved even more at Genk
  2. Is this a buy and loan to Goztepe to help them. Would be underwhelming if its for us given our other links
  3. Not sure you can make the comparison with Carrillo who was a managers choice, late in the window when were panicking and who had a crap goal/game ratio. We've been linked with Beto for a while, has been reported as our 'primary target' and has a much better goal/game ratio. As for the relegation point, if we only signed players who wouldnt be at risk of leaving us after relegation then we wouldnt be signing very good players
  4. Suggesting that hes available for around 26m, then why are we throwing 20m at Jackson
  5. Pay most or play most? 😂
  6. Its already a climb down from 'we dont want to lose him this window'. Hes also out of contract in 18 months so can see us meeting somewhere in the middle. If our budget only stretches to a striker and one other (LM or DM), this position is much more important as we have less depth. Get it done saints
  7. Always fishing in the same pond as us. Forest are linked with everybody ffs, would love to see them go down as they would be fucked
  8. Not me honest lol. I see he also reported that Ounahi was linked with a 35m move to Bournemouth so wouldnt treat what he says as gospel. If we're serious about pushing on under SR we need to replace/move on the likes of Djenepo, Diallo, Moi and AA. And we're making all the right noises in the window so far
  9. Hjulmund, Ekambi and Beto and it'll be even better than the 10/10 summer window 😂
  10. Per contract
  11. It seems as if we want versatiIity with players able to play anywhere across the three behind a lone striker. Orsic and Edozie could do that. I would also suggest that Djenepo and Stu Armstrong's time here may be winding down
  12. It seems we do given the links with Ekambi, Jackson, Mavididi and Maeda
  13. THINGS can only get BETO Can only get BETO, now i found you Things can only get BETO Can only get BETO, now i found you and you and you
  14. Jet from Montpellier to Southampton this morning. Article has us linked to Stephy Mavididi (who plays for Montpellier) as an alternative to Jackson
  15. Good spot. Are we just stockpiling left wingers for the hell of it
  16. The first offer is obviously to test the waters. We would be doing something wrong if it was accepted. Can see the player wanting the move and only needs to look at his compatriot Hojbjerg to see what a successful spell here could do for his career.
  17. His Dad wasnt a bad player. Also see he was born in Derby when his Dad was there
  18. Liking the sound of this. We need cover for DM should Lavia get injured and we've an eye for decent scandinavians (bar Forren). The last one we were looking at Rasmus Hojlund ended up joining Atalanta and is doing very well in Serie A
  19. I dont know why we're arguing about Wood. Its highly unlikely Newcastle will let him leave this window.
  20. Fair enough. But have we not had a longer term interest in Jackson (going back to the summer), and then linked this window at the same time as Moffi, Beto etc. It could all be for the same position as you say but I wouldnt read too much into NJs comments as I do recall him saying we didnt expect to be too busy this window, which doesnt seem to be the case. Perhaps the comments above have been purposely fed to the media to downplay our interest in a number 9, who knows
  21. SWF transfer response Linked to player Quick trip to wikipedia to see his stats (goals per game if hes an attacker) Quick watch of a 3 minute video on youtube "He's not what we need, what are the club doing?!?" Honestly, I despair at times on here. Why dont we trust the analysis and scouting the club have done as its been largely very good in the last few windows. It looks like he plays more AM than striker so we're probably after an out and out striker also. Hes also been playing regularly for Villareal which is more than a step up from us. With a front six of Lavia, JWP, Alcaraz, Orsic, Jackson and a new striker (hopefully) - that is much better than what we started the season with
  22. If hes not willing to extend by this summer then move him on and get as much as we can. His level has dropped and ABK and DCC now provide better options. Our recruitment will identify a better option (who plays CB for City u23 😂)
  23. Im hoping these championship links are a distraction for who we're really after. We need a top tier striker who is capable of chipping in with 7/8 goals during the run in this season. While I appreciate NJs comment about the Championship previously that its the fifth? best league, as we've seen first hand with AA it doesnt really matter how many you score as the PL is a different beast. AA was much more prolific than Estupinan or Semenyo. Perhaps I'm wrong but I have my reservations and it feels like we're opting for the cheaper options when our safety is the most at risk as it has been in 5 years
  24. Not only was he just off the plane, barely had any training with his new team and thrown into the middle of a tough game in tough conditions.....his last competitive game was the cup final on 6 November. Im surprised Jones threw him on, but glad he did as the kid will learn alot from it. Honestly, I'll give my views on him this time next year. Hes 20, moved to a new country mid-season, will take time to get up to speed with Jones' tactics/shape and understand his team mates. Crucially, it will take him a while to get used to the pace/demands of the PL which will be different to the Argentinian league. I did say when we signed him that we were taking risk, not because of his ability (he looks a great talent), but that we would need to be patient with him in a season where we cant afford to be patient. Lets hope he gets to prove himself in the PL next season, as opposed to the Championship
