  1. Can we get Isak instead and let Newcastle have Broja
  2. Six with an option for a year extension. Might not seem such a good idea for him if they get relegated next season or season after
  3. If we sign Brandon Williams, that would be a step back after all the good work in this window to date. Has to be Kabore, or failing that Pedersen
  4. If we sign Kalajdzic then we're going to want to start putting some crosses in the mix 😂
  5. Wouldnt be so sure. Even if we bring two strikers in we'll still have the same number as we did last season. Theres also conflicting stories that Armstrong is in Ralphs plans but that hes also out of favour. Will just have to wait and see
  6. Ideal end to the window would be In Kalajidzic, Delap (loan) and Colwill Out Bednarek, Stephens, Walcott, Djenepo Make it happen Saints
  7. Maybe he doesnt want him. He would know him better than most on whether he would be successful in the PL
  8. If fans on a forum said so then it must be true
  9. I've a few mates who are Rangers fans and while they say that Aribo is great with the ball, there are games where he goes missing. Also very lazy at times out of possession which wont suit Ralph's style of play. Hopefully this link is just to disguise who we're really after
  10. Thanks for all the years Shane. Especially those years under Koeman where he was a key player for a period. 12.5 million in 2014 turned out to be a decent bit of business for us. Age has caught up with him the last few seasons and PL level became a stretch too far. Hope he finds a club in the Championship.
  11. You really dont want the owners determining transfers and recruitment strategy. History would tell you that its a bad combination. Clubs have other individuals who perform these roles
  12. Be interesting to see how Everton respond with these rumours that they're financially screwed. Could be another long season for them
  13. We've needed this sort of investment for the last 4/5 years
  14. Odd. I get that Tinos injured but when he returns we could have him, KWP and Pedersen all vying for the RB position. Hardly a selling point for a Norweigan international to leave a club like Feyenoord and come here when not guaranteed game time. Unless we're contemplating playing Tino in a more advanced role....or selling KWP 😱
  15. How does FM work out its leadership stat for each player?
  16. It would purely be a money based decision if he chose to leave. Newcastle has hardly been a blueprint for bringing through youth players in recent years. Their u18s finished rock bottom of the North section, compared with our u18s winning theirs. Also given their spending power now, any pathway to the first team would be alot more difficult than here
  17. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.footballscotland.co.uk/spfl/scottish-premiership/hit-miss-rangers-transfer-record-23585337.amp Good article on it. Some very good dealings (Bassey, Lundstram, Hagi) but quite a few flops. Their squad depth ultimately cost them the league and they had a serious lack of attacking options for the EL final
  18. 95% of Newcastle fans creaming themselves over a player they've probably never seen play. Hope hes another Lovren - looks excellent with Fonte beside him, but then moves to another club and gets exposed
  19. Why? Seen upwards of 25m being banded around, largely based on one good season in the Championship. If he was that good he would be an established PL player for Wolves by now
  20. Given that he played quite a few PL games before his injury and also the work hes seemingly putting in before pre season begins (although could all just be for his social media), its a kick in the dick to be told you're off to the Turkish second division. Think hes ok, nothing better, nothing worse. Moving him and Bednarek on and then bringing in another starter to compete with Salisu and Kotchup wouldnt be a bad thing if thats what the club are thinking
  21. The austrian soccer board, a colleague on the extended board (whatever that is but doubt that they would aware of bids on players)..... think I'll wait for a legitimate source that we've bid for him before getting excited
  22. Who is SaintRob and how informed is he?
  23. The links with Chris Richards seemed very strong, some indicating it was nearly a done deal and then this signing comes out of nowhere. Did we consider both and choose ABK, or do we still remain interested in Richards? Would be very strange to sign another young CB. What must Simeu be thinking - clearly sold on a pathway to the first team and now we've just went and signed another CB who is the same age as him but will be ahead of him in the pecking order (both have Cameroon links). Certainly spells the end of Bednareks time here, maybe even Stephens as well. Although I would not be entirely shocked to see Salisu leave given his contract situation and current value - ABK could be the like for like replacement in terms of playing style (although different footed)
  24. Thank god for that. We have a temendous record with south american signings
  25. I would let him go. He makes too many mistakes, is very often caught out of position and is poor playing the ball out from the back (remembering his reaction to the boos last season for being too cautious and constantly passing it sidewards/backwards). Not to mention the OGs and he was key to both 9-0s. We as fans should expect more than that from a young CB with 100+ games in one of the top European leagues who also has 40+ Intl caps for a decent nation (although tbf Poland doesnt have many decent CB options). With 3 years left on his contract we could easily get 20m+ for him. That can be fully reinvested in a replacement
