  1. Its clear we're not sacking Ralph, so failing that he needs two new coaches to support him. Davis and Watson is honestly a pisstake for a PL team. On the pitch (in order of priority) - two CFs (we badly need goals and it is almost always the difference between relegation and survival), a new GK (will make a world of difference to have somebody who inspires confidence to the defence and has good distribution), two new CBs to compete with Salisu and not be squad fillers (although if we were offered a silly amount for Salisu, I would sell him - his hype has taken a big hit in the last few months), a new no.10, a new DCM to replace Romeu who will act as an able replacement, a new winger,
  2. Thankfully the last 90 minutes to endure this season. You can amost guarantee a Vardy or Maddison goal. Hopefully we can sneak a draw, although not holding much hope. Looking to next season I would go with - McCarthy KWP Salisu Lyanco Small Armstrong JWP Romeu Redmond Adams Armstrong
  3. Evan N'Dicka at the other end looked very good too. We were linked with him before but no chance hes leaving the Europa League winners for a bottom 6 PL side
  4. He did leave at the right time. But at 37 hes still better than many of our midfield options - Diallo, Smallbone, Djenepo, Moi. Sad state of our recruitment/academy in recent years
  5. Steven
  6. The sky cameras showed him talking to former team mate Harvey Elliott on the pitch right after the final whistle 🤷🏼‍♂️
  7. I dont mind targeting one of those 'tino type' players per window as we also need to look longer term. But you're right, we need 5/6 PL quality players to come in as starters for next season. A bit of physicality would be greatly appreciated also
  8. Had high hopes for Diallo after we beat Liverpool last season and he marshalled Thiago superbly. He was dreadful tonight, couldnt even control the ball. Dont know what he offers as he doesnt seem good enough defensively or going forward. Seen him enough now to put him into that pot of Moi, Djenepo, Smallbone etc who arent good enough for us if we have top half ambitions. I've always been worried about our GK and defensive options, but the midfield doesnt excite me either. In fact with us only being left with Adams/Armstrong up front, I'm worried about our whole team 🙃
  9. Like when he tried to lob it over Origi on the edge of his own box and got a lucky foul 🤦🏽‍♂️
  10. Tbh you've summed up Ralph and our squads big flaw in a single post. We're great at having a single gameplan and if the stars align we can look very good on our day. However, that very rarely happens. You're always going to have curve balls come at you in the PL. Teams will change formations, personnel, tactics and a manager/group of players need to adapt and be versatile enough to react to that. The better teams can do that. We're incapable of that and that is a damning indictment on a manager who has been here for quite a few years
  11. Not thrashed 😂, rightly hes getting pelters for suggesting that we should be happy with that
  12. They'll probably be patting themselves on the back after that. Happy days lads we got the narrow defeat that we hoped for. The negative mentality at the club starts at the top - get rid of Ralph and about 6/7 of that starting lineup and we might be getting somewhere for next season
  13. Dont even give this shower of shite the dignity of a lap of honour. Absolutely gutless. Deciding to have a go in the last five minutes is taking the piss out of the fanbase
  14. What a pathetic performance this is. Get a goal and then just sit back and hope for the best. Its Liverpools 2nd team, our last home game and we've absolutely nothing to lose. Have a fucking go!! No doubt RH will talk about how we matched the mighty Liverpool for 65 minutes. Joke club
  15. Thats what happens when you spend some money to strengthen your team. We can only dream of that. Gap will only get bigger unless we have a reset in the summer window
  16. Emmanuel Dennis will have plenty of interest following Watfords relegation. Seem to recall that we were interested when he was at Bruges. Thought he looked very good in a poor Watford team. Could be a good replacement for Long
  17. Out Forster, Stephens, Bednarek, Vokins, Ramsay, Djenepo, Long, Walcott In Starting GK, two CBs, DM, no10, two CFs
  18. I wouldnt say its been eye-opening as we have produced similar horrendous runs in previous seasons Our form from beating Liverpool in Jan 21 until the end of that season was probably worse. Our team is capable of an absolute horror show - the 9-0's, Chelsea and Villa this season which could have been much worse, which shows a mental fragility. Once it starts going bad we're incapable of stopping the bleeding. I think the same applies to our form, once we get on a bad run we find it difficult to arrest that slide. There had be signs this season that we had built up some much needed resilience - West Ham away, Spurs away and Spurs home all great examples where we dug in when we needed to. But that was short-lived. We are too rigid with our style of play that if things start to go wrong, we dont know what to do. That sits with the manager who needs to make us more versatile. There is also a serious lack of confidence amongst the players, probably damaged by what they experienced in recent seasons. When the system works and we're playing well, it has been a joy to watch at times. But you just know that another horror run is around the corner. Could you imagine if we had faced an injury crisis like Leeds or other teams have faced this season. We've been very fortunate to have our best team available every week and we're still putting this run of form together. The more I think about it, the more I'm convinced that Ralph has to go. We've become too stagnant and need a change in direction. A change to the spine of the team would be very welcome too as I'm not convinced this group of players would improve under a new manager - too many damaged goods/mentally scarred
  19. Beginning to think Burnley could be favourites to go down again. Away to Spurs and Villa (who just chinned them) and Newcastle last game will be no gimme. After Chelsea, Leeds last two are Brighton and Brentford. Can see them picking up a win between those two which might just be enough
  20. One plus about this shite Chelsea form is that it has pulled them back into the top 4 race. About a month or so ago they were coasting to 3rd. The Leeds game has now become a must win for them to solidify that top 4. It could have been a dead rubber, although they do have the FA Cup a few days after
  21. That point at Leeds a few games ago looking so crucial. Had we lost that they would in touching distance of us
  22. How can we be so jekyll and hyde? Some of the performances earlier in the season against City x2, West Ham (A), Spurs (A), United (A), Brentford (H) were probably the best I've seen under Ralph. But we have a prolonged, catastrophic run of form in us every single season. Thankfully it hasnt been mortal to our PL status, but it will eventually. Mentally weak players, no direction, too many mistakes. While the players should take alot of blame, it is managers responsibility to prevent this . Yes we're Southampton and we'll lose more than we win in a season, but runs of 1 win in 10,11,12,13 or whatever games is shambolic. We need to go in a new direction and hopefully the owners can see that too.
  23. Blackmore needs to put it Ralph after the game. No dilly dallying round the subject
  24. Remember seeing the fixtures and thinking here we can have a run at top 8. How foolish I was
