Don't quite understand this. Not sure how we could buy a replacement before getting the money for selling Ings. As to prices going up once selling clubs know we have funds available, that's always been the case for every club not just us. It's down to the negotiators to make sure any signings are at a fair price in the current market.

Gutted to see Danny go but this deal makes sense for the club. Just pleased he didn't go to Spurs and at least we get time to buy a replacement in this window. He'll obviously be getting paid a huge wedge from Villa but, other than that, it doesn't sound the sort of move most of us were expecting for Danny.

I think this is an exciting signing and could turn out to be a very shrewd piece of business. It'll be interesting to see how quickly he develops and how long it takes him to show enough promise to be considered for the first team. If what we are hearing about the agreed buy-back fee is true this has the potential to be an excellent deal.

Agree. Loftus Cheek is not one I'd want to see in our squad. He made relatively little impact at Fulham. I wonder if the serious injury he suffered is still hampering him because he was a good player before that.

Only seen the highlights of the two games against Cardiff and Swansea but it seems to me there is a concerted effort to cut down on the tedious possession football and get the ball forward at pace. Long may it continue as it is quite refreshing. Obviously it will be harder against better quality opponents but I applaud the change of tactics.

Agree. Our coaches should have more about them and be capable of making tactical changes instead of waiting for the inevitable.
