  1. Change the record, you've made your point on numerous occasions.
  2. Why has everything got to be turned into a bashing of our 9-0 defeats? This is an England game so has no relevance. Get over it and stop obsessing.
  3. Well as he's played tonight he can only really be judged in games against the likes of Spain, France, Belgium and Germany.
  4. Great free kick from JWP brilliantly saved.
  5. Not excusing our two 9-0 losses which are horrendous but how many games have San Marino played in that time?
  6. Be interesting to see if he is given free kicks.
  7. Great finish from JWP! Take a bow son.
  8. Big Fraser to perform heroics in FA Cup semi-final and final victories to storm through and take player of the season. Well, we can dream.
  9. This thread, which started out as a look at our semi-final against Leicester, has gone off on so many tangents and down so many rabbit holes you'd be hard pressed to know what the original topic was. Bizarre.
  10. Would be inclined to play Salisu rather than Bednarek for this game otherwise our back 4 is going to be seriously outpaced by Leicester's forwards. The thought of Vestergaard and Bednarek against Vardy scares me.
  11. They looked very good today but we have a chance against them. Just glad to avoid Man City.
  12. Brighton impress me and I think Potter has got them playing some great fooball and now they are taking their chances and winning games. Lallana is having a huge influence though not sure how long they can keep him fit - he certainly makes them tick. I like the way they play between the lines which is something we seem to have forgotten how to to do.
  13. Redmond was superb today. He is far better suited to playing through the middle as a striker. Thought he played instinctively today and was always looking to drive forward. Contrast that to when he is out wide as part of the midfield and has too long to think about what he is going to do and mainly ends up going backwards or down blind alleys. Admittedly the opposition was poor today but hope Ralph appreciates this position is where you'll get most from him. Two great finishes and an assist should do his confidence the world of good and his all round contribution was exceptional today. Can he do it more regularly against Prem opposition? Would be great to think he can.
  14. We can but only if Ralph refuses to manage the game and lets us be gung-ho when 2-0 up. Trouble is, it's not his forte to manage a game he just goes for it and doesn't think.
  15. Right Ralph, time for some game management. Take off Adams for Tella and stick him up top on his own and drop Redmond back into midfield. Keep it tight make them chase the game and hit them on the break.
  16. It didn't work out because he was lazy and disinterested when playing for us. Who can forget his lack of effort in that Wembley semi-final? Even for Fulham he is fairly average so wouldn't want to see the lightweight back on our wage bill.
  17. Just to correct you, us getting dragged into the bottom 3 is not down to the other teams it is currently down to us alone.
  18. Come on - this is a poor Bmuff side with injuries. A great chance to smash them and get back some much needed confidence. We really should beat them comfortably. If not questions will be asked.
  19. Is he going to tear up and rewrite his book on how we play at every level throughout the club then?
  20. This nonsense VAR directive has to stop. Bad injuries is obviously the worst possible consequence as has been seen tonight.
  21. My point is that maybe for the money our pampered players are paid we are entitled to a little more blood, sweat and commitment than we've seen of late from some of them.
  22. The poor little lambs and they only get paid peanuts. My heart bleeds for then with such a hard life. We can't expect them to play all those games with very little rest for that money.
  23. Even Longy might score against our defence.
  24. Indeed and we were always far more successful in games when we had less possession than our opponents.
  25. Support for Ralph seems to have taken a big hit after today's performance. It is hard to defend him even though he is working with a very thin squad. His methods succeed if he has a team that can press hard high up the pitch, win the ball then play quick accurate passes to panic the opposition. Those sort of performances for us seem a long time ago. Without that strategy and the players to implement it I'm afraid he seems to have no other tactic. It takes a super fit squad where every player knows his job and everyone works together - we don't have that. Even then, as we have seen, opposition managers work out how to combat Ralph's tactics and negate what he is trying to achieve. It's a tough one because we have looked superb at times but there seems to be no longevity to his methods. I imagine he'll be here until the end of the season and a decision will be taken based on how we do in the remaining games. Unless there is a marked upturn in performances and results I don't think anyone will be surprised if there is a parting of the ways.
