Apparently Ghana already have a long throw specialist, doesnt feel needed.
-
We were checked in the boxes. Biggest issue was people weren't ready and ended up waiting ages for their covid passes to load.
-
He saved one at his near post, which was nice.
-
Yep, annoying but it makes sense.
-
Wouldn't be surprised to see either 1. A Gap in the season or 2. The season pushed out a couple of weeks and a couple of rounds of "make up fixtures" at some point.
-
Our defence is definitely better than last season but our attack is definitely worse. I'd say net, we're marginally better than the disasterclass of the second half of last season.
-
Our tactics are incredibly predictable - which is the problem with having a playbook. Also, that the centre of our team is flat, now JV has gone and JWP has lost what mojo he had there is very little breaking of the lines in the middle, which is a problem. We also desperately miss Stuart Armstrong who offered a bit of spontaneity (and quality).

The United Kingdom and the Death of Boris Johnson as we know it.
Jeremy Corbyn replied to CB Fry's topic in The Lounge
I think the worry the Tories will have is whether they'd actually be more electable without Boris or not. The man's an ejit and clearly damaged the party, but he's also fiercely popular with the brexiteers and young people who unironically use the word "banter". If he goes they'll lose a lot of that support and might not make it up in different ways. They might feel that if they can get their ship in order and Boris can pull together a semi-competent six months, he's still their best bet. -
To be fair, we have no aerial threat anymore so his set pieces were always going to drop off in effectiveness. Completely agree he could do with a break.
-
At his best he scored 18 league goals in one season for Spurs, he was immense. That was a while ago now though.
-
Athletic saying Dele Alli available on loan in Jan. Appreciate he's been out of it for a couple of seasons but he's much better than what we have if he returns to any sort of form. Good mates with KWP too.
-
Leicester had 5 shots on target, 4 goals, would love some of that efficiency. Newcastle's next three - Man City, Liverpool, Man Utd. Hopefully we can pull away a bit.
-
Agree that Livramento needs a rest. I also think that his direct approach could be handy off the bench. I also want to see JWP dropped as he's having a poor season and now his set pieces aren't working, he's not offering a lot. Funny that our best run of the season happened with him suspended. We're missing arguably our two most important defensive players, so the defensive weakness is disappointing but understandable. What is so frustrating is how awful we are in the final third, we have so much of the ball in great areas and fail miserably constantly. Armstrong is awful, he's nowhere near good enough to be as selfish as he is.

Of course they're encouraging vaccines. Taking vaccines is backed by the world's scientific community. Not taking vaccines is backed by people who can't spell covid.

The United Kingdom and the Death of Boris Johnson as we know it.

Well the Sun and The Telegraph both coming out against Johnson/the government this morning. Does feel like the tide is turning, expect if it doesn't turn back quickly Johnson will be in trouble. -
One big upside, he can have a song to the tune of Canyonero from The Simpsons:
-
Yeah, very odd. What happened at Dundee? To have a full season in the Scottish Championship at 19/20 years old is reasonably promising and then it just looks like he came back to Southampton to stagnate.
-
Surely an emergency loan?
-
Exactly. And it's not like he'd have made any impact if Brighton had stuck it in the top corner. Absolutely disgraceful decision.
-
I would say when he's in good form Redmond is a very good player, his biggest issue has always been huge highs and lows in confidence/form.
-
Brings back memories of Beckham playing "Quarterback" for England.
-
Ah, I thought gambling odds were randomly chosen using a tombola. Thanks for putting me right.
-
Seems a touch generous. I would put us in the "probably wont go down" bracket and no more than 5/1, but maybe I'm too pessimistic.

Not meaning to sound facetious but is there any reason you wouldn't take public transport? Get a training in and walk down. I always prefer that to trying to drive in on a busy evening.
