  1. Unlike us mere mortals...which reminds me it's being raised to £75 in the near future.
  2. Moostava look in my local butchers then...
  3. How can you eat such an animal Baj? Surely there's some moosteak... * gets coat...
  4. Thank you Mr Pardew for looking UP a division for talent! Getting (certain) players to drop a division is (I would imagine) quite difficult - but let's be honest; a lot of them will (and do) follow the ££££££'s rather than the bigger picture!
  5. Weheeey! lol
  6. I could've made many pigeon pies - but didn't. Does that wipe my slate clean?
  7. Pretty sure that the Norwich game will be called-off as the forecast for East Anglia/Eastern England in general is horrendous for tomorrow & saturday with strong bitterly-cold winds too.
  8. Pigeons - without doubt the worst flyers in the world! Not the racing types of course - but the common or garden wood pigeon. I must be responsible for ending the life of I don't know how many. It's all down to their really crap vision which (I believe) is a 30-degree angle in front of them. And pheasants. Another crap-at-flying bird. How many of those have I squashed ffs?!?!
  9. Ducks - surely?
  10. I guess the upside of the game being off is...by the time it's re-scheduled - we'll have a better team (hopefully); they'll have less supporters; and I might actually fit my Saints shirt as I'm now officially a fat bastid after scoffing my face all Christmas!
  11. lol. On the same subject; I remember now about 15 years ago I did run over a young girl's pet cat. It ran out in front of me & there wasn't anything I could do. Now - I hate cats - but I wouldn't want to run one over. I was hoping it lived as it ran at a rate of knots into a garden after my front wheel hit it. The girl (aged about 20-21) was very distraught (as you would be) so the next day I bought a big box of chocolates & took them round her house - hoping that it had survived. But alas - it was hit & had run into the garden shed where she found it an hour later dead. Don't think the choccies helped - but she sure was top totty! Don't think running her moggy over was ever going to get me in her pants though - alas.
  12. MOOSE STORY The following pictures are of a moose that went through a car's windshield and out the rear window last month near South River, Ontario. The VERY lucky woman driver ended up with just a broken wrist and needing a good bath. When you view the pictures you will wonder how the woman managed to survive. I know the above is a real shame & not nice - but it got me thinking about the worst animal/living creature you've ever hit? In the 30-odd years I've been driving - I've been quite fortunate & apart from the odd bird, vole, rat, etc - I've only ever had very near misses with deer, badgers, foxes - touch wood! My nightmare would be to hit something as lovely as a fox, badger or deer - and worst of all - someone's pet dog. Anyone had a moose come through the windscreen? Jeez this is all very morbid....
  13. lol. Now - I'm expecting to get in from work tomorrow & see a whole 5 or 6 pages of Saints snowmen here on the SWF. Don't let me down kids/dads!
  14. Is that Oscar Snowbern? or Mikhail Antonio?
  15. Thinking she was doing her bit for the enviroment - my mate's mum bought one of those Tesco 'bags for life' just before Christmas. She passed away a week later. Gutted or what...
  16. The failed 'liquid bombers' all stemmed from here in the UK. The shoe-bomber stemmed from the UK. The Nigerian 'crotch bomber' (they say) was radicalised here in the UK. So when a country like America (The Senate/White House/CIA/whoever) say's we're in danger of becoming a 'menace nation' - I'm inclined to agree.
  17. Indeed you salty old seadog! It was thanks to the 'Grey Funnel Line' that I first visited the USA for a 5-week maintenance period in Jacksonville back in 1980. A few weeks later - found myself in Philadelphia for 10 days. Couldn't believe I was getting paid for my troubles! Sailed there a couple more times over the years & loved every single minute. Never understood my old man doing 26-years on subs though. I mean...the sea is for sailing on - not under!
  18. My dad always told me when I was a small kid that 'Britain should hang onto the coat-tail of America'. As I got older - I understood more what he meant. I'd much rather be America's friend than its enemy. Besides - I love America! I love our 'close relationship'. I'm happy to state I love the USA - and sod anyone who thinks otherwise. I couldn't care less. I know the US has had its problems & still has problems yadda yadda yadda. But I'm more than happy to be their friend!
  19. The USA said just last week (following that failed airliner bombing) that 'Britain is in danger of becoming a menace state'. And that is indeed true. They must find it incredible then to read that we are even considering allowing this march through Wooton Bassett to go ahead. I can't see it being allowed to go ahead in all honesty. There would be no end of trouble, violence & above all else - disgust.
  20. I was born there (Malta) and visit every few years on average. Love the place - and the friendliest people I've met in over 50 countries I've visited over the years - always smiling they are.
  21. If I were you - I'd head for the Canary Islands in February. January & February temperatures average nearer 25C / 77F with high humidity. Prices are good for this time of year...and I believe that very low-cost budget airlines now fly there from Southampton or Bournemouth??? Either way - nice sunny temperatures for not a lot of wonga!
  22. I have glared into my mystic ball of the future & can tell you all that we draw Manchester City out of the bag in round 4.
  23. Visit the Sex Museum Crab (just in front of the Central Station) - well worth it & great fun at 3 Euros!
  24. He's got dual German-Ghanaian nationality, and opted to play for Ghana internationally...I think?
  25. So they were...all except the goal-scorer Prince Boeteng - who was overlooked by his country now that he plays for an English minnow club.
