Pretty poor performance overall. Hopefully just early season-itis.

Romeo Lavia - Official: Signs for Not Liverpool
AlexLaw76 replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
If he does not make another premier league appearance, I wonder what we miss out on in funds... -
Surprised you never emulated Jordan Henderson and jumped ship to 'grow' other mongboards
-
Is this the Transfer Window Net Spend trophy equivalent?
-
Whether he will be flexible or so. One thing is clear, not being significant challengers for the top 2 positions will be a failure with this squad (which will only get weaker every transfer window in the champ)
-
i get sticking by players, but there is a limit with the likes of Maguire and Phillips. They just don't play. England will obviously qualify and these games should be to bring in others to gain the experience. Just very odd Edit - Southgate is now saying both Maguire and Phillips will play because we lack 'depth'
-
Lots of talk about Maguire starting later. What is wrong with Southgate...?
-
From or with Covid?
-
He isn't though
-
so, at least 6 keepers in the league are better than Martinez? If that is what you meant, who are they?
-
I will never forget him calling Priti Patel an immigrant. Could only be because of the colour of her skin - the fecking daft racist
-
Sunderland had more disruption last week than 2 bids form saints for injured players

OK, other than the one post that was locked immediately, unsure anyone, let alone collectively, has demanded or suggested "Martin out"
-
Has the forum decided it wants Martin out?
-
That is f-ing funny 🤣
-
Totally agree. This is our best line up and could roll over most if we deploy less wide-open tactics
-
Djimi Traore won the Champions League. The streets dont forget these players
-
Yes, talksport the other night.
-
Semmens also said that Che is not the type to down tools and is like JwP in being a brilliant professional.
-
If it was Ralph's judgement. Martin was on the radio the other night and said with Ralph and their time together at Saints, Ralph did not have the final say on new signings and contracts
-
Very true. As said the other day, watching Luton on telly was like 'what could have been' My god

I think Charles has to start at CM with a more organised defence in front of and around him. Charles is a big lad who is good on the ball, and designed to sit in front of a couple of CBs also, simply leaving massive gaps between our FBs and CBs constantly is madness, as we have seen. I get the point of possession at the rear and middle 3rd’s, it brings their players out of their shape (or should do). But that is pointless if we do not quickly exploit that and make their midfielders/defenders face their own goal. I guess we will see the cut of RMs cloth with the next 2 home games.
