  1. Oh well, 3rd game at the end of a pretty intense week. A full week now to prepare for a very good Brentford side. Just highlights that the window was not quite the 2nd coming that many suggested (10/10 my arse). What was the glaring shortfall today was something we all (and the club) knew about. We are still leaking goals (10 is it now?). If we do not tighten up (noting the lack of finishers), we will be rooted within the bottom 6 soone enough, and no real progress, despite the investment.
  2. It is garbage this season, and they do seemingly turn off the comments during games at least.
  3. If Bournemouth are definitely going down and are horrific. We are sat on the same points with them at the time of writing
  4. you carry on with the sarky comments/replies to me. Reality tells it how it is 9/10 window, yeah?
  5. we probably dont lose this and not sit on the same points as bournemouth and in a relegation scrap. We need to shit-house our way to safety (Sean Dyche if you will). Despite everyone being an updgade, we are still leaking goals...is that 10 now?
  6. still a 9/10 window?
  7. Better side without troubling their keeper too much - standard business resumes
  8. That must have hurt - ouch
  9. Aribo for Lavia
  10. LIverpool win now please. Very convincingly !!!
  11. I mentioned during the time that if he wanted to actually come to Saints, he would have pushed to do so and not play the other night. Had united offered the exact same package to the player & club, he probably would have gone on strike to force the move.
  12. Ralph definitely has a spring in his step. Not seen that for a long time. the overall squad quality is as good as it has been for a long time, assuming the players in are as good as we all believe. Just reading the city forum and the vibe is Edozie is very quick, great running with the ball and should do very well. Larios is (according to snippets on there) a very very good talent. Kind of echo's ralph's comment about him / the others
  13. Brought here to challenge in full back positions? Seen he is No.3 (yes, I know that does not mean IS going to play at the back)
  14. Saints be like...
  15. Bournemouth will go down, I am sure. The rest, god knows. Every team has added this window (and/or the last). Leicester - look in trouble, but Rogers will probably be gone soon and they have some good players still. Wolves - are down there but they have some excellent players, just struggling to score (sounds familiar). Forest - feck knows, but would be hilarious Us - depends if we tighten up enough to mitigate against the lack of goals (on paper) Brentford - Look good again and appear to have added well. They also have a good manager I think Brighton and Leeds will come down the league a bit, but both have good players and a decent manager Villa - Not for me. They have some very good players, just a crap manager Everton - possibly, but again some good players but a crap manager. However, if there is a football god, they will make this happen. West Ham / Palace - nope Fulham - no way if Mitrovic stays fit for most of the season
  16. Not sure how AMN or any of those signed yesterday, will start. same team as the last game, maybe Stu or Aribo in for Lavia. Big game for who ever is in the middle of the park, as they are very strong there.
  17. 7 / 10 for me. crucial areas strengthened, but lacking the big player the club wanted. stronger than the summer that is for sure, and the best window for years
  18. Fair point. I agree that we look far more solid (so far*) with the players and the shape we have. We are clearly a bit more direct and not aggressively pressing so high up the pitch. That is bound to make us harder to beat. That is got to be worth a couple of points, I am sure. Throw in Stephens, Valery and a lesser extent, Bednarek have gone. McCarthy needed to be dropped, so hopefully Bazunu keeps this up. *Surely we will not be as wildly streaky as in previous seasons. Not with the current set up
  19. No i didnt, Both cameos and neither was leading the line (let alone for 70+ mins). As we saw at Spurs, having the ball immediately come straight back at us was debilitating. Che is crucial to us in this shape and he looks very good this season so far. Dominating defenders and allowing us to get up the pitch easier when in possession
  20. Where have I said that? I think it has been a good window. a 7-8/10. We clearly have improved the quality of the squad in all areas bar the goal getters. The club all summer (including Ralph) have been pretty open that they needed to bring quality in. We tried to go big and sure they are equally frustrated that a deal could not be done. The lack of goals was a massive part of our dire run last season. Hopefully, that will be mitigated with a more solid shape, improved players in midfield, we may keep a few more clean sheets (none yet) and others may well chip in (which was criminal last season).
  21. who are not happy?
  22. Generally an awful player.
