I remember during the glory years of the early 00s. The RN was cut. T45 orders went from 12 to 8 then to 6. T23s were sold, bases were shut. Armed forces numbers were reduced, RAF squadrons cut. that was all all before the economic crash in 2008 and the following austerity years. Anyway, no one will care about the armed forces enough within 48 hours of this current skirmish being over.
