  1. Surely that was a game Pompey would have noted as one they needed to win. Draw annoying, but they should be in the bottom 3 later anyway.
  2. But, this is a game they needed to win, maybe
  3. Pompey’s run-in is pretty horrible too
  4. And there we are
  5. Dowman is going to be some player, assuming he continues his progress and not do a Deli Alli
  6. Such a brilliant player, amazing close ball control and excellent running with it. If there is an improvement then it is his finishing. That is what will stop him from the very top.

7/10 Downs, Still and supporting the continued playing of Bazunu have probably cost us promotion Had we signed a semi-decent striker, a proper keeper and not Will Still....well, we are seeing what the team, and what others said we were, capably of. I think we will have to much to do to go up (with the extra games), and he will need to nail the key positions in the summer, as there are bound to me lots of ins/outs (with the odd big player leaving).
  8. Bragg is a good player. Neat and today and picks up good positions
  9. Hungry eyes has proven doubters wrong, and clearly on a different path to Will Still.
  10. Never thought that going direct would trouble Arsenal. brilliant so far
  11. Yeah, that is exactly what they are doing 😐🤣
  12. He is a fucking lunatic. He had a point regarding the European defence stance/spending, but the jibes...fecking hell
  13. I have pretty much always said Starmer is playing this safe (and right). I have always been ver critical of our involvement in the ME.
  14. Usually I don't get all the running commentary regarding Trump, but he has gone insane regarding Iran. Our PM is doing the right thing and keeping us at arms length.
  15. UK War footing update. Not a f-ing clue
  16. It is, but they are also very powerful and good for other bits I do as a side hustle
  17. I wonder if that before or after the bedroom general went to jail?

Crude oil extracted from the North Sea can be sent to exisiting refineries, though refining capacity has declined over the last 20 years (from ~16–17 million tonnes/year to ~9–10 million tonnes/year). For natural gas, North Sea gas is processed at terminals (e.g., St Fergus Gas Terminal) to remove impurities before being fed into the National Transmission System (NTS) for domestic distribution. The above restricted due to the reduction in the ability / capacity to store energy. The UK can use levers of Government to heavily influence where said resources are directed, via taxes, levies and maybe licensing conditions. Not my words......

I said be more energy secure, not 'get energy security'...and yes, this could be done with the stuff the UK owns /claims in the North Sea (according to the UK Government anyway)

Her Majesty has the exclusive right of searching and boring for and getting petroleum to which this section applies. (2)This section applies to petroleum (including petroleum in Crown land) which for the time being exists in its natural condition in strata in Great Britain or beneath the territorial sea adjacent to the United Kingdom. (3)For the purposes of subsection (2), “Crown land” means land which— (a)belongs to Her Majesty or the Duchy of Cornwall; (b)belongs to a government department; or (c)is held in trust for Her Majesty for the purposes of a government department. (4)Subsection (1) is subject to paragraph 4 of Schedule 3 and subsection (2) is subject to paragraph 5(3) of that Schedule.

Yes, to enhance our own energy security and resilience. Domestic supply reduced reliance on imports (and cost of imports). T Instead of the current policy of almost banning licences, the UK could (probably should) invest in new technologies in the North Sea (or re-hash current stock). You blame Maggie, it was under Blair we (chose) to become Net Importers of gas, and created the the UK Climate Change Programme (leading to Net Zero), whilst They are all shit https://www.woodmac.com/news/opinion/securing-the-future-of-the-uk-north-sea-a-balanced-path-to-net-zero/?utm_source=chatgpt.com

yes, we could have. We could have maintained, or even developed the North Sea. As a nation the decision was made to reduce both the capacity and capability to exploit it.
