England/Hungary/Racism Discussion (Split)
Weston Super Saint replied to Turkish's topic in The Saints
You're right. The police should stop and search way more white pensioners to even things out. -
Personally, I think anyone should be allowed to protest about anything, freedom of speech is the fundamental right of civilised society. Anyone who breaks the law whilst protesting should be dealt with accordingly and ALL protests should be policed in the same way. Unfortunately they're not.

But it's alright if you're a climate change activist? https://news.sky.com/story/extinction-rebellion-activists-begin-two-weeks-of-london-protests-targeting-root-cause-of-climate-crisis-12388712

Get well soon! On the sea wall it's unlikely to be a car that hit you and drove off - probably a pissed off seagull! -

The answer would seem pretty simple.... https://www.theguardian.com/sustainable-business/2017/jul/10/100-fossil-fuel-companies-investors-responsible-71-global-emissions-cdp-study-climate-change

Nope. I believe it was turned off to keep the forum running quickly and has never been turned back on....

Indeed. I even posted a graphic and link showing there had been more terrorist attacks in the last 20 years than in the preceding 20 (which included the NI troubles). Oddly boriersaint seems convinced that there will now be a dirty bomb in London.
-
Yep, really, really, really difficult to launch attacks against 'them' https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-58372458

They were going to, but when they got to the bus they realised the wheels had fallen off

Not sure it could attain the title of 'popular Portsmouth book' if he did...

Uh-oh. Another footballer remanded in custody on rape and sexual assualt charges. Nothing has been confirmed yet and there is obviously a long way to go before due process is completed. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-manchester-58353366 *Personal jibe removed by mod*

Just to recap, the fact that they didn't have training camps out in the open during our occupation is how you've defined us 'having our thumbs on their heads'? Have the Taliban ever been running on 'our streets'?
-
Utterly delusional if you think we had 'those terrorists' under our thumb during the past 20 years. They popped up at will, killed soldiers and kept the local populations scared shitless of reprisals. The ultimate leadership of the taliban that we hunted for 20 years and never even caught site of were nicely harboured in the Arab Emirates or hiding in the hills biding their time. For 20 years we were second best in the world's longest game of hide and seek and you claim we had our thumbs on their heads. Bless.
-
Why? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-58342790
-
Good statement. Yeah, that's right, we had our thumb on 'these people' who clearly weren't capable of running their own country so we should have continued our occupation and building that empire. All. Over. The. Place.

Even Collins(the)Dic was more fun than this iteration.
-
It's alright, we all know he missed it Still, he's really, really, really intelligent though, honest.
-
Bless. It's contrary to your fantastic debating tactic where you confuse yourself with a very simple graphic... And you're the one harping on about others not being 'an intellectual'
