  1. Pretty effective if they only found evidence of tampering in one out of 3,100 counties
  2. I do apologise for not carrying out a full investigation 60 years ago! Still, since it was in answer to a question asking how they "could have" done it, I wasn't expecting to have to provide absolute proof.
  3. They're pretty good at making things (and people) 'disappear', maybe they had someone on the inside who tampered with the ballot boxes and made some votes disappear. I doubt that would have been beyond the wit of man, especially in the 60's.
  4. No. HTH.
  5. Let's see.... PPE - tick. Track and trace - tick Serco / fitness to work benefits - tick HS2 - tick
  6. To be fair, would have expected black history month to be the perfect time for BLM marches up and down the country, but nothing... Odd really, it's almost as if it was a fad that died out really quickly.
  7. What if the lives are still lost and the businesses don't get saved? Still happy to pay more taxes to fund the failed experiments or is there a line you'd draw?
  8. Great news, Scotland adds two more 'levels' of rules to confuse their population - and let's face it, the Sweaties aren't renowned for being the brightest crayons in the box in the first place! https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-54661494
  9. Seems like a ridiculous thing to do and not sure how the Welsh are going to police it! https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-54662795 It looks like electricals and clothing will not be allowed to be sold in the supermarkets as they aren't 'essential' and other shops selling them have to close, so that small businesses are protected. Meanwhile those essential cakes and pastries are fine in supermarkets, despite local bakeries being closed. The Welsh lockdown basically just looks like a complete leisure closedown for a couple of weeks to ensure the badly damaged hospitality industry doesn't make any money during half term!
  10. Some more good news Assuming that there wasn't a 'false positive' either time, it looks like even the very fittest athletes can be infected more than once - not looking good for the majority of the unfit population! https://www.cyclingweekly.com/news/racing/giro-ditalia/giro-ditalia-2020-fernando-gaviria-tests-positive-for-coronavirus-for-second-time-this-year-473197
  11. Protect the vulnerable and get on with life???
  12. To be fair, the front page of the Star today was mildly humorous.
  13. So what the fuck were you talking about with your silly Saville example? Were you implying he's never cheated at monopoly? QUOTE "I've reached the logical conclusion that he must apply the same thinking to Jimmy Savile who never received even a fine or nothing from a serving constable so clearly never broke a rule in his entire life."
  14. It's an easy win for Labour. Claim we should have a national lockdown, knowing it is very unlikely to happen, then claim the Government are shit. It's also very easy to shout about another national lockdown when you know you don't need to find the money to pay for it!
  15. Seems to matter significantly to 'strictly' as they've been banging on about it for weeks now. I'd imagine a position a little more high profile than a dancer on a shit TV program, like the President of the US, would attract infinitely more attention. Not sure it would matter if 'it matters', if it happened it would be reported as if it were the second coming!
  16. It's a pretty simple question, but one I didn't think you'd have the ability to answer.
  17. Great point well made, and that is exactly how all the laws in the UK work, well played, you're the bestest.
  18. You should direct that one to Sir Keir as I believe he was in charge of the CPS when they decided not to bring charges against Sir Jimmy. Although what that's got to do with coronavirus legislation fines from constables is beyond me.
  19. Remind me, how does the legal system work in the UK - I believe you have 'insider' knowledge Is it 'guilty until proven innocent'?
  20. Mental! So he broke the rules, more than once, was interviewed by the police who concluded it didn't even warrant a pitiful £30 fine. Seems like a slam dunk to me.
  21. Not sure you've grasped the fact that breaking those rules carried financial penalties. The test for breaking the rules wasn't even particularly strong and could be applied arbitrarily by serving constables. Yet, no financial penalties were issued to Cummings which must imply that he did not break said rules. Not really advanced rocketry is it?
  22. If you think so, that's up to you... Personally, I think that what he did was morally reprehensible - I even pointed this out at the time - but that he hadn't actually broken any rules. There is a stark difference between morals and rules, one that I'm not sure you've truly grasped...
  23. I'm happy to rescind my earlier comment about Margaret breaking the fundamental rule about isolating whilst waiting for a test result to return, as it turns out that was not a law at the time she did it. Morally she should have followed the advice as everyone else should, but I guess morals don't apply with politicians!
  24. Good news, Margaret gets off Scot free from the Met police : https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-scotland-politics-54546058 Not sure what the law states in Scotland, but if Poileas Alba also conclude she has no case to answer will the SNP re-instate her to the party? As for the argument about Cummings meeting people whilst his wife was ill, I guess that one is blown out of the water as well, as he can't possibly have broken a law in March that didn't come into effect until the end of September!!! I guess that just leaves the whole eyesight thing - which frankly isn't a CoVid issue at all, but one for the DVSA to look at - but I'm sure if he ever gets asked about it he can just brush it away and claim that the virus made him act out of character.
