  1. To be fair, I think you're mixing up your arguments and making yourself look a bit silly. Plants are living things, so too are vegetables, did you have any regrets when you were stuffing those [ex]living things down your throat on your meat free Christmas feast. How about flies and maggots, they too are living things, should we ban fly sprays? What about wasp traps, and their awful inhumane drowning of the poor living wasps, what a way to go eh, spending your last remaining minutes on the planet drowning in an empty coke bottle. If you feel that strongly about the poor little foxes, why not get in the way of the hunts and stop them from chasing poor little Basil?
  2. You could put them all in a great big shed, thousands of them in one place, and lock the door, that should keep them safe from harm
  3. I guarantee you that every single supermarket, restaurant, shopping centre etc etc that you have ever visited poisons the rats for you. It's a sure way to lose customers to have those rats running free around the tables while you're trying to eat your dinner, or have them running up and down the aisles whilst your doing your weekly shop. Rats are vermin - so are foxes - and are controlled mercilessly, mainly by poisoning, which isn't a pleasant way to go!
  4. What if you replaced the foxes with rats, what would be everyone's opinions then? You could go further and just lay down lots of poison for the foxes to take back to their dens and feed to their cubs, that way you could kill a whole family with a long slow painful death.
  5. There's a tin of buttons in the top drawer in Peter's old office.
  6. Are you suggesting the new gov't policies on crime are being so effective so quickly? Besides, I wouldn't trust an article that manages to confuse murder, with it's American cousin homicide, and then spell homicide incorrectly. It stinks on poor journalism
  7. The UK legal system has been hijacked by the crackpots at the European courts. This is what has broken UK law.
  8. Been there already. Luckily while my defences were low, I managed to get a touch of Norovirus too. Not a pretty sight in the toilet for a day or two. Nearly all gone now until another dose of man flu in the new year no doubt.
  9. And yet the FL should have picked this up and realised they couldn't afford to pay those inflated as they have their new improved financial reporting system that clubs who have been in admin have to abide by. Surely you can't mean this wonderful system doesn't work.
  10. It has it's place - deppo's humour is suited to the Muppet Show and pretty much nowhere else. To be fair, it was getting boring, monotonous and not even original. Pretty easy to work out that Deppo's 'opposing' view on just about every subject that anyone ever posted on, was done to either attract attention or wind everyone up. I'd suggest he's achieved both of those goals with his current ban. Some might say his posting style was quite similar to spastic stain, tiggs, kadeem, snorway and all the other identities that poster has had in the past
  11. Isn't it time it was a permanent ban? Surely he's accumulated 10 points before with his pointless sarcastic postings?
  12. Student who speaks with other students who have the same opinion as him non shocker! You were there, we were not, so we don't know! Sky, BBC news etc, all had cameras beaming images live as it happened, so anyone watching those unedited live pictures, probably has a far greater idea of what was going on than someone who was pushed into the police 'kettle' and could see very little.
  13. Personally I'd start with the policy makers who made the policies that allowed the banks to gamble so recklessly, a few tighter controls and a lot more reaction from the then chancellor, could have avoided a whole lot of grief. Sadly Mr Brown thought his policies were bullet proof, and there was no way he was going to change them. Like Johnny said, 'all of them' would be a good place to start.
  14. Isn't it a touch hypocritical to blame all bankers - it's like saying all students are rioters! I agree a lot of banks, and thus bankers, are to blame for the financial meltdown - RBS being the biggest culprit - but a whole lot more of the banks have continued to perform well, have not had any hand outs from the Gov't, have made some healthy profits, all of which have been taxed, and that tax money been spent by whichever party has been in power. To blame the 'banks' and 'bankers' for the recession is wrong.
  15. I'd vote for a 2% tax cut. But then I guess in order to appreciate a 2% income tax cut, you'd need to have a job. I guess that the working people of the country would far outnumber the unemployed whenever a general election is called. What was your point?
  16. How about the rest of the country go and protest about the students who've eaten away at our tax money for so many years? Why don't we all go round the local student houses, smash in their windows, set fire to their possessions and eat all their pot noodles? If they noticed the carnage that was left behind, do you think they would just shrug their shoulders and say 'hey ho, it was a protest, so anything's allowed'?
  17. Are you sure Mikey? It seems to me that the past three demonstrations - is that all of them? - have definitely involved thuggish behaviour! First there was the attempted murder from the fire extinguisher thrower, that would be classed as thuggish wouldn't it? That one also included the unlawful entry of a building, which then got 'trashed' and lots of the furniture set on fire, surely that's bordering on thuggish isn't it? Then the next demonstration involved the students destroying a police van, setting off the fire extinguishers, stealing all the equipment from inside it - are we getting close to thuggish yet? Then there's todays 'demonstration' which according to the pictures being shown on Sky news appear to be pretty thuggish to me. Perhaps someone has re-drawn the boundaries on what is and isn't thuggish behaviour and not told me - presumably they haven't told the judges sitting on the various 'football violence' cases either, as I saw lots of fence shaking today on the news, which is apperently - according to the judge - very thuggish behaviour.
  18. If he follows the instructions to the letter he will never have connection problems again. Much more helpful than having to come on here every couple of weeks to solve yet another windo$e problem
  19. Start Get in car Drive to shops Buy a mac Problem solved.
  20. I guess the previous residents of Hiroshima would testify that there really isn't such a thing as a 'crap' nuclear weapon.
  21. IIRC they have to ask in an attempt to identify money laundering etc. I do feel though, that if anyone is seriously laundering thousands of pounds at a time and shifting it around the banking system, they probably aren't going to be 'tripped up' by a fat bird sat behind the counter in a bank, asking them where they got the money from.
  22. Sadly, they can adjust the CVA as they wish. There's supposed to be a vote from all the creditors to veto any changes, but as we've already seen with Swindon, AA has a history of ignoring these rules and carrying on regardless. Since there is no real regulation of this industry, he can pretty much do as he pleases with little repercussions. I guess it's then up to the FL to levy any points deductions they see fit, but we all know how they've completely lost their spine and this won't happen. So, in terms of the CVA, they really will have got away with it Luckily, they now have the owner they deserve, who's only interest is in getting his money back, so he will take every penny he can get his hands on until he feels there is no more to be had. A long slow painful death with a liquidation at the end of it is very much on the cards, as I doubt very much that chinny will hang around until the CVA is done and dusted in five years time, so another administration is not an option. The only chance of survival they have is to sell the club, and thus give chinny his pound of flesh back. I imagine there is more chance of every one of us on here winning the lottery before they find a buyer rich enough and mad enough to part with that sort of cash
  23. Yeah, Johnny, the people must get their big macs or there'll be a world of pain.
  24. So, is your name Rodney, not Steve?
