  1. What time is the train to Dudley and what platform does it leave from? FFS The EPL couldn't even get that one right, no wonder Pompey are in the mess they're in. No wonder their fans blame the EPL for getting them in that mess too
  2. So, an interesting question.... Let's say you're very rich and you've got £70m burning a whole in your pocket, do you : a) Buy Pompey and end up with [at best] a Championship club with a large points deduction. or b) Buy Rangers for £30m and spend another £20m on cars and houses, hookers and wine, and have a team that will regularly win things, have no debt, and probably turn a profit once debt free owing to the fact that they have a large stadium and ready made facilities. Oh, and you've still got £20m in your pocket to buy a boat with So, basically, they're toast
  3. Aha, I see what you did there... This is one of those rhetoric questions isn't it
  4. I would much, much rather be going to Wembley in the Semi final of the FA cup. Sadly, we lost to a team that out played us in the last quarter with their team of players they can't afford. Luckily, we're in the final of the JPT, so I'll be going to watch it, who knows I might even buy myself a mickey mouse watch to celebrate. You can feel free to sit at home being all grumpy and bitter because it isn't a 'real' trophy if you like. Luckily, Pompey will be wound up before the semi final of the FA cup anyway, so I don't really feel your need to be jealous of them
  5. Lol @ Chainrai paying for some Indian drummers out of his own pocket to try and get some sort of atmosphere at Fratton Park!! I reckon they'll be piping in crowd music soon
  6. Save all of your money - not just some of it!! - and download Open Office. Simples.
  7. Clearly I've never watched any film and thought I was actually the leading character, unlike you
  8. Jeez, you really are Walter Mitty aren't you!!
  9. Pompey beware Now tell me that Chainrai choosing the administrator - and paying his bill!!!! - is a good thing for PFC.
  10. It's a fair point.
  11. We have a 'drought' and a hosepipe ban every year because the pipes that transport water to and from houses and water plants are woefully inadequate and leak all the time. Instead of spending the income on getting these issues fixed, the people running the water companies are more interested in making a healthy profit and taking a big bonus than worrying about the inconvenience of maintenance.
  12. I have only one question.... They need to petition / apply to the courts for administration. Since they already have a winding up order 'live' at the courts, what are the chances that the court will deny their application for admin? Is it likely, and does it happen / has it happened to other companies?
  13. If you look at the article in the News - maybe 20 or 30 pages back now - with the pictogram of who owns what, then Barclays are co-creditors along with Gaydamak for all the parcels of land around Fratton. Presumably then, Gaydamak gave himself these bits of land, mortgaged them to the hilt with Barclays, to pay the wages, and then claims he would be happy to pay the mortgage payments to Barclays when Pompey pay him his dues So many different owners of so many different pieces of the puzzle it's hard to see how an administrator will know what needs administrating by the end of next week, let alone the end of this week
  14. I would laugh - in a Kevin Keegan like maniacal way - if a couple of cases at the high court suddenly got postponed on Thursday, and hey presto Pompey get called in to court for 11.00am on Thursday, as that would then be the next available date after last Friday In fact, I would probably need to buy a new pair of boxers from laughing so much... Not that I'd expect the courts to employ the kind of underhand tactics that Pompey would look in to;)
  15. Lol. Where the hell did he manage to find someone who is prepared to break the law by taking on the running of a company that is trading insolvently - as confirmed by it's current CEO!!! If he's found someone so daft to run the club - they would presumably have to put in large sums of money to stop it running insolvently!!! - then why doesn't he just sell it to them? Besides, even if by some miracle he does manage to get admin approved, I think we can all guess how much of a discount HMRC are going to give them on their outstanding tax bill, a big fat zero!! Therefore they would need to find a buyer within 31 days or they would be liquidated anyway. Re-arranging the deck chairs has never seemed more appropriate!! Since they've been trying to do this since they were a club trading solvently, I don't fancy their chances of finding anyone in the next 31 days. Which means the club would be wound up on April the 1st, which would be the best wind up in the history of wind ups
  16. He also says that the club have a few weeks to find a way of avoiding the winding up order, when in fact they have only 4 and a half working days
  17. Perhaps someone can email them the link to this thread? They clearly don't do a great deal of work in that office, as there has been at least 3 links to an Arabian news site where SAF states he is taking advice on whether to invest more in the company or do a runner as fast as possible and ditch his shares. What comes as a surprise to them comes as old news to us, but it's been that way since the beginning of this thread
  18. To which the judge will no doubt respond : This is a wind up isn't it?
  19. Pompey are probably about to deny that they even have to produce one....
  20. And also : Be responsible for paying the wages on time Make sure that less or equal amounts of money go out as come in Pay the bills Pay the taxman Pay other football clubs And numerous other responsibilities no doubt, that she has failed to carry out so far in the past 6 months, so I wouldn't be too confident of her ability to gauge the solvency or otherwise of PFC
  21. This is how I things.... 1. Gaydamak[sr] owns Pompey. He also - through various shell companies - owns all of the land around Pompey. You only need to look across the road for the precedent that has been set regarding planning permission for shops / flats etc. 2. Chainrai is up to his neck in sh1t with Gaydamak, always has been, nobody buys that fake bust up right? So, Chainrai sues [lol] Gaydamak for £17m which is given to him by the Israeli courts - that was dirty money that neither of them were going to be able to touch any other way - and then he gives it to Pompey [Gaydamak] as a loan. He gets repaid some of his loan but was expecting £7m in January, because £7m of clean money is better than nothing right? Sadly, his cunning plan was foiled by Baldrick and the EPL who kept his money, so he's really, really p1ssed off now!! So, what next? Simples, get the club liquidated so that he and Gaydamak can then work on the land they've got left. Gaydamak throws up some shops, or sells his land with planning permission and makes a tidy sum without doing any work, and Chainrai knocks down Fratton park, builds a leisure centre with some flats on top, or sells the land with planning approval and makes a tidy sum without doing anything. Winners = Gaydamak and Chainrai who've converted £17m of dirty money into plenty of clean money. Losers = 6k or so of 'hardcore' [lol] Pompey fans who get to watch AFC Pompey playing Sunday league footy. I can't see that they've got anything to gain by keeping the company limping along until the end of the season when they'll be relegated, have incurred far more costs in the form of wages, taxes etc, and be on a massively reduced income in the Championship, still having not sold their over inflated players because no-one wants to pay their wages! Have I missed anything?
  22. It says in the 'News' article that Vantis are confident of having the statement finished by Wednesday morning so they may present to the board - of PFC. What the board do with it after that is up to them I guess, but THEY [not Vantis] have been ordered to provide an accurate Statement of Affairs by the Court.... Nick O'Reilly, client partner at Vantis Business Recovery Service, a division of Vantis, said: 'We are hard at work and remain confident that we will complete the statement of affairs report by Wednesday morning, for submission to the board and owners of Portsmouth Football Club.' I'm sure the HMRC and Courts are expecting a pretty grim picture to be painted, but wouldn't be shocked if the alternative was presented to them....
  23. Well, luckily, in about 6 or 7 months we'll find out who was right
  24. Yeah, like they're bothered about the simple things like the laws of the land What's the date of Story's court appearance....
