  1. If these glasses are 'above board' and normally retail between £80-£180, how come you are flogging them off for £15? Why don't they include a case? If something appears too good to be true, it usually is....
  2. Would Storrieteller
  3. Corp Ho = Peter Storrie FACTamundo
  4. Do you work for BA? I hope that you have a new job lined up before you leave the old one....

  7. So, the point you are making is that you have absolutely no point whatsoever! The charter was for the 09/10 season - I'm sure it says that quite clearly in the charter!! - therefore the club could not possibly have broken promises for last season, this season!! I'm guessing we can now see they delay for the release of season ticket info - the club has been waiting until the season is officially over so that it doesn't break the promises made in last season's charter
  8. I think you need to step back from this whole 'the club have done this to **** the fans off' attitude, and take a look at Marcus's business principles over the past however many years, that have made him the multimillionaire that he is. I suspect the biggest principle that can be examined is the one where he has NEVER spent money that he hasn't had in the bank. Luckily it would seem he is bringing these principles to SFC so that we can avoid the way that PFC has been run this past decade. If that means that a few fans have to suck it up for a season or two, then frankly that is a small price to pay [or not ]. Maybe these same fans will learn a lesson and save some money up for next seasons season ticket - I would suggest about £500 per ticket would be a good goal to aim for...
  9. Creditors meeting not until the 17th July now! That seems a bit strange for someone who was uber confident that they would all agree to the CVA. Surely they'd want to get that [formality] of a box ticked so they could get on with things???

  12. I like the way you state these things as FACT when in FACT they are mainly fiction.... There are [in the main], three types of pubs : 1. Managed - Pub owned by larger company, which employs a manager to run it for them. Generally these larger companies [Mitchells, Whitbread, Punch etc] will have enormous buying power with suppliers which REDUCES the cost of the beer they buy, but they have a duty to shareholders which will increase the prices again. 2. Owned / freehold - Owner / Licensee owns the pub in it's entirety [maybe with a bank facility], and isn't 'tied' to any brewery, so has freedom of choice. However this freedom of choice means they have virtually no buying power to negotiate prices downwards, so they will be paying top whack for their beer supplies, driving prices upwards. However, they have no obligations [except maybe a mortgage], so any profits they make are theirs to keep, driving the prices down.... 3. Tenanted / Leased - Generally the property will be owned by a huge company [Punch, Enterprise etc], and the licensee 'buys' the lease for many thousands of pounds. They are then 'contracted' to the leasing company to pay a monthly rent. They are also 'tied' as to a number of main beers [eg Fosters, Stella, John Smith's etc], which they will HAVE to purchase from the 'brewery' - a loose term really as not many 'breweries' own their own pubs these days - and these beers will be sold at a set price. The leasing company will charge a premium on top of what they paid for the beer, covering their own distribution costs, and also giving them a profit, driving the prices up. The rest of the alcohol, wines, soft drinks etc, can generally be purchased from whichever supplier the licensee can get it cheapest from, which should give a larger profit to counteract the small profits made due to the beer 'tie'. All 3 types have their good and bad points, and any one of the three if managed / run properly can make an enormous profit. Sadly, the bad operators that have gone out of business are only too quick to blame the easy targets like the smoking ban, cheap supermarket booze etc, rather than admitting to their own shortcomings and failures.
  13. Like the countless local villages in England which are clearly brim full of McDs KFCs and Pizza Huts : roll :
  14. Surely you could just tether a normal un jailbroken iPhone?
  15. We know. Most of us went in March
  16. Anyone know what date they are going to present the CVA to the creditors - and therefore, obviously get it approved??
  17. It's not his money, so why should he care?
  18. Make sure you organise it on a date that doesn't clash with this schedule http://www.willfoxgolf.com/golfsite/Schedule_%26_Results.html
  19. Seeing as I've vowed never to use pikey Ebay as long as their is breath in my body, you won't be getting my custom However, should you see fit to set yourself up as a trader on Amazon I would love to have a look at the wares you are selling. If you could provide a link should you do this, I'm sure we'd all be delighted.
  20. There is a big difference between offering a contract and having it accepted. IMO this is just more spin from the Android. Sure, they've offered the contracts, but anyone know what's in them? It could be a contract to pay them £250 per week for all anyone knows. I'd suggest everyone just chillout, relax and see how many of those contracts get accepted - none would be my guess, but at least Android can then turn round and say they were shafted by the players after offering them a new contract
  21. If anyone sees Corpse, can you ask him how that Chelsea takeover is coming along? You know, the one where Abramovich then takes over at Pompey Corpse does still visit us doesn't he?
  22. You seem to be forgetting rule [whatever number it was], as stated a couple of pages back, that allows HMRC to go after the directors/owners past and present of the company for their money should they get liquidated That would serve two purposes, teaching the Skates a lesson whilst putting the frighteners on all other clubs to pay their taxes, AND collecting money from Storrie-Teller et al for the public purse
  23. Maybe he's celebrating having a bit of time off at the end of a busy season. Maybe he's celebrating his dining partner's birthday. Maybe he's celebrating getting a new pair of socks. Maybe he's not celebrating anything and just likes to drink pink champagne.
  24. They can write about whatever boIIocks they like! They should also accept that their readers / customers will desert them when they find out that what they've printed is complete and utter nonsense...
