  1. Or not.... Perhaps the Clarets can't be tempted to do business due to the structure of the deal Pompey put together, like buy now, pay when we go bust again.... £2.5m is a LOT of money to turn down for an injury prone striker, but not if there's no chance of seeing the cash!
  2. Done. Since the removals company are refusing to respond to any contact I've made to them regarding the damage they caused, I've lodged a complaint for appx £300 with the online service. Have to be honest, it's a really simple procedure to follow, let's hope it gets the right result
  3. And they STILL don't get it! On the one hand I commend the stupid skate for saying they should not be taking the money. On the other hand, he still doesn't get it! Why does he think they are so desperate to get back £2k, probably because every penny counts when you are once again trading on the edge of insolvency! Then he demands they go and sign four more players, doubtless on tens of thousands of pounds per week!
  4. There's already a tax on takeaway packaging, it's called VAT! Instead of finding ways for the government to add more tax onto consumers, how about finding ways to make the government more efficient, get rid of all the red tape and 'non' jobs, and use the money saved to employ people that are actually needed in our society, such as street cleaners, bin emptiers etc! How often do you find a bin these days whilst walking the streets, they're certainly getting rarer, especially the council owned and run ones. So, no, not more tax, as this will just open the floodgates for more pointless taxes.
  5. You realise that foxconn also make motherboards and numerous other components for windows computer too don't you? Also the link with Apple is tenuous at best, being that they supply 'kit' to Apple rather than making the iPads as your post would suggest....
  6. Your wish, and indeed everyone else's, is contained within this website : http://www.ceoemail.com/
  7. That is of course if you believe that the debts were indeed £58m in the first place. It would be much easier to tell if Pompey had followed the rules and published their accounts for the years in question, but since they didn't I guess the only source for those figures is a reporter from the Guardian! I'm guessing the reporter was told those figures by someone at the club, maybe a certain Mr Storyteller, who let's face it had no reason not to lie May I be so bold as to suggest that the debt figure was probably closer to at least £100m, for the simple reason that the gun runner had been syphoning off money from the company for a number of years, then when he did a runner from the bankrupt company, still had the cheek to demand many more millions For the record Ho, I have no proof that the gun runner was taking the money, but even you and pfc would have to agree that it's a far more sensible suggestion to explain where the missing millions went!
  8. I beg to differ! Take a look at your attendance figures, those were not bigger than most CCC clubs That, right there is the reason you went bust! You spent more than you earned, you racked up masses of debts you couldn't afford. Simple economics really. Trying to blame it on the world banking crisis, ebola, the garden gnomes stealing the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, or any other ludicrous excuse is just plain stupid! If you'd have had a more astute CEO than storyteller, you may have avoided most of the problems you ended up with. Still, at least he's got the freedom of the city
  9. Most pub companies in the UK made a profit last year, so definitely steer clear of all the pubs in the country. Don't forget the water companies, they made large profits too. Best steer clear of drinking water, having a shower or doing anything that involves water.
  10. Forgive me, but didn't they get rid of all of those last season, claiming they weren't good enough?
  11. Really? I'm guessing you have a link to back up this statement, because, as yet, I believe that none of the small debtors, including the charities that you stole money from, have been repaid yet....
  12. I threatened to take the 'Mayflower' theatre to small claims for canceling 'We Will Rock You' on the night we went! It took about a week of correspondence, but they eventually paid up in full. Looks like I'll be making the same threats to the removals company that moved us last week and managed to make a hole in the brand new lino we'd had put into the kitchen! More than happy to go to court and defend my point of view, especially if the company concerned is being run by muppets!
  13. Sorted it for you
  14. But MAINLY - TO - CHELSEA - FANS
  15. Looking a bit desperate when you have to go back 23 years to find a stat in your favour
  16. Seriously? Which bit are you struggling to believe? The woman has been in the papers most months for the last three or four years, with various visits to re-hab centres, drug fueled binges, and other exploits. Is it such a stretch of the imagination to believe that someone who hit the self destruct button many years ago has finally departed this mortal coil?
  17. Although we didn't buy success Instead we bought out Jan Portvliet's contract
  18. Nope. Been fine for me. In fact, it hasn't even wobbled since the last game
  19. Where did you find it? Pretty sure I lost it in the vicinity of Redlands County Primary School in about 1979. Can you post it back to me, so the pair can be re-united?
  20. Is it a skill that you've worked hard to acquire, or do you have a natural ability to make yourself look retarded? Let's take them in order! 1. It's 'clearly' a PFC problem, because PFC racked up the debt in the first place! Had you bothered to pay your debts two years ago, we wouldn't be having this discussion. That fact that a lying sleazy businessman who 'owned' your club by default promised to pay the smaller creditors - feel free to see how many of us doubted this would ever happen! - and now has reneged on that offer, doesn't mean it is not still a PFC problem! 2. The first signs that your new owners are just as broke as your five previous ones. PMSL. 3. It isn't Chanrai's debt, it's PFC's debt - see point number 1 for more explanation about not paying your bills! 4. You've clearly typed your response in a fit of rage! Rallyboy was pointing out that Gaydamak was very retarded all those years ago to personally guarantee the debt if the plans did not go ahead - he could, as Rallyboy suggests, have written that burden into the contract as a PFC burden rather than his personal one, had he been a little less retarded. For the record, I don't believe he'll ever pay the money, but I guess that is irrelevant in this argument. In short : 'give up, it's embarrassing'.
  21. Can't see anything there to be shocked about! Us poor deluded retards that corpse PHSL about all the time stated this would happen many many pages ago.
  22. I wouldn't read too much into it either mero. The selling club's fans will, 99 times out of 100, shout about how awful the player leaving is, worst buy ever, waste of money, etc etc. Whilst the buying club will be raving about how good their new signing is, just a little misunderstood perhaps, but they'll set him on the right tracks again. We'll see how he plays this season, and I guess that's all that will matter.
  23. Do what we did when the sofa didn't fit. Take the window out
  24. Last Friday I was a pub manager / landlord / licencee. I am now [almost] officially unemployed I guess that makes me a 'job seeker'.
