  1. Well in that case the club should definitely employ more stewards to let people smoke outside
  2. I got a refurbished 300d from fleebay. It was faulty so I sent it back. They sent me an upgraded 350d by way of apology which I've never had a problem with. It pays to shop around for the best deal, and don't discount Hong Kong sellers as you used to be able to get a bargain.
  3. How do you propose this would happen at SMS?
  4. Having had the smoking ban in place for 18 months now I think it is evident the club have no intention of allowing people outside at half time.
  5. Luckily that is where our 'cup magic' comes in, because it is on Sultana sports so hardly anyone will see it!!!
  6. Indeed. http://www.thepublican.com/story.asp?sectioncode=7&storycode=62061&c=1
  7. http://www.digital-cameras.com/product.asp?ProductID=5353 A few more pennies.... http://www.camerabox.co.uk/product1.asp?ProductID=4593&gclid=CMqkx7_I7ZcCFSVPEAod-Xu9Dw
  8. Wowzers! 15 hours sleep and you missed the new year celebrations
  9. I didn't realise you were being serious!! Isn't the answer pretty obvious? It is/was a business decision to provide an external smoking area so that smokers will still visit the pub and spend money. It didn't work!! The drinkers / smokers have abandoned the pub in their droves, preferring to buy cheap beer from the supermarket and smoke at home. Suits me fine to be honest since we turned the business round to be more of a restaurant than a pub - happy to say the risk I took to do this has been vindicated We also provide a play area for kids - so parents will bring their little darlings and spend their hard earned cash. We also provide disabled toilets and nappy changing facilities. We also provide a cash machine and fruit machines, all decisions taken to get your hard earned cash off you!! However I don't agree with your inevitable next comment about SFC not providing external facilities for smokers, because frankly the monetary outlay that would be needed would not - in their case - see any substantial return, so it's of little wonder that they haven't done it.
  10. Yes. Unless you can prove otherwise, it is against the law to smoke in a public area!! Therefore if I ignore the law and allow people to smoke in the pub - and by not doing anything about it, I will be regarded as sanctioning their actions - then I can lose my license! In the same way as allowing under age drinkers in the pub can lose me my license! Unfortunately I am not in a position to pick and choose which laws I will and will not abide by
  11. Removed their little fingers.
  12. Because the law says they aren't allowed to smoke inside
  13. The people I have found smoking in the toilets have been ejected and barred. Pretty harsh perhaps but at the end of the day they are putting my livelihood at risk by jeopardising my license. A bit different I suppose as we provide a covered, heated out door area for smokers about 50 yards from the toilets!!!
  14. Maybe they set the precedent in July 2007 when the ban came into effect, and ever since have been consistent with their approach :smt102

  16. I'm looking forward to the Lolcatz and fun with numbers editions
  17. Then you sir, are the exception that proves the rule. In case it slipped your attention the rest of the country is in a recession and has much less disposable income.
  18. RL: Who issued those tickets? How did he get seats next to mine?
  19. Then I'm gonna suggest they probably don't want random people making random comments about them :smt102
  20. Because it's 82.9p in Tescos Bursledon
  21. No wonder we haven't got any money, he's always giving the bloody tickets away.
  22. You've kind of disproved your own theory there
