You really think we only had three targets for a position we absolutely had to improve on? If that's the case then SR have been incredibly naive. Chelsea in particular dicked us around with Broja most of the summer. We should have walked away with ultimatums, no deal agreed by X, we move on. If those were only our three targets than that beggers belief.
-
Surely it's not unrealistic to imagine a premier league club will have other targets in mind should they fail with one.
-
Still doesn't excuse the fact that they didn't get a forward in. PSV and the player dicked us around for far too long, other targets should have been lined up.

Pompey v Saints B Team Hampshire Senior Cup

Not even sure they will play first teamers in this fixture. The final doesn't come with a day out at Wembley! -
Forget the 9-0 results, that for me is the most damaging statistic of all. Eight wins in 35 games is dire, how he still has a job is beyond me.

Interesting piece on Leipzig on the BBC football page. Basically saying how they are struggling to find a new identity now. Mentions Ralph in the last paragraph as his RB would brutally capitalise on the mistakes of their opponents. Says this was the hallmark of the side under Ralph.
-
To be fair, he could be talking about any number of our players there
-
Agree about the forward positions. We need serious strengthing there on 1st January, not 31st January
-
Chris Wilder is available
-
Semmens and his role is also a very interesting topic. I thought he was quite fortunate to keep his job when SR came in. Maybe the taking stock of every major position within the club isn't too far wide of the mark
-
Not normally are business model to go for managers who already have a job. Having said that, be a huge statement of intent from SR if we did go for him. Suspect he would have a compensation clause in his contract. If we met it who knows if he would fancy thr challenge.

Eleven players behind the ball at all times. Don't even bother trying to get over the halfway line
-
Christ. If they are three up against United by 40 minutes, what are they going to do to us?
-
I want someone who knows how to set up a team, who knows proper tactics, who knows when and how to make subs to change a game, who knows what his best team is. Above all else I want someone who knows how to win football matches, instead of just cobbling a side together and hoping for the best.

I think it's more likely that Salisu leaves in January given his contract situation
-
That's not the point I'm making. We spent a fair amount by our standards, and can you say apart from ABK and Lavia that the others have improved the starting eleven let alone the squad as a whole?
-
For me, the point would be that they spent their money a lot more wisely than we did
-
Hearing Ralph's endless fuckin excuses is really rubbing me up the wrong way
-
Agreed. Perraud is average but at least he has a bit of experience.
-
Shame we didn't do that, instead of being obsessed with buying players that will hopefully turn a profit. At this point the only two I would have signed were ABK and Lavia.
-
Anyone who paid to watch that shit
-
Dowie? Much rather have him than Adams. Least he would let the opposing centre halves know they were in a game. Adams is pretty powder puff
-
To be honest, who would get anything out of our squad at the moment. It's horrendously lacking in quality and cohesion. Was a fan of Ralph and think he is a decent guy, but enough is enough now.
-
The new owners stumped up some money but instead of buying established players we brought a load of kids, hoping to make a profit on them.
-
Surely to fuck he had to going we lose this one?
