Yeah, I'd agree with that, I think we are on par with West Ham to be honest. Wolves, possibly better, however I think they are going to struggle to hold onto the likes of Neves etc.
-
Thought we played most of the game well within ourselves, almost felt at times we had a eye on the cup game. The result was never really in doubt, although would have preferred the second to have come a bit sooner.

Another goal for Tadic in the Champions League. Really under valued when he was here

How do you rate the chances of us keeping the likes of Salisu and Ward Prowse? And what point and price do you think the club would entertain offers??
-
I guess it depends what other options Forster has and the terms we offering on one year deal.

Definitely this. Can't afford to get complacent for this one. They aren't too bad going forward, just very poor in defence. If we go at them hard in the first half, we should be ok

Loudest rendition of oh when the saints ever?

That made be chuckle. I remember that one as well. Usually followed by your the scum of London Town if plating the Happy Hammers -
Anything less than a win after our recent results and performances would be very disappointing

Think we will very lucky to see even one of those drop

Would love Leeds,Newcastle and Everton. Never happen but would be great

Agreed. If they are signs of tiredness make changes during the game. Bench is strong enough to cope. Would hope we are two or three up early doors as to really use the squad

I find it amazing that he's not a regular starter for Scotland. They must have some serious talent in their midfield
-
Agreed, a very enjoyable game. First time this season that I never really believed the end result was in any doubt. JWP and Romeou absolutely dominated their midfield, and for the ref not bottling a second yellow for Allan we would have been playing against ten for at least 55 minutes. Richarlson and Calvert Lewin almost always bully us of the pitch so, it was especially pleasing for Salisu and Bednerak not giving them a kick all game.
-
Yeah would agree with that. A few times Tino didn't go forward as much as I would have liked, despite having plenty of space. Contrast that to KWP who was popping up everywhere on the left hand side. For me, KWP is the better option at the moment if Perraud comes back in

That would be the stuff of dreams!

That was the best performance I have seen from Saints this season. Although we had to wait to get the breakthrough it never was in any doubt really. The most comfortable game we have had all season I think. Special mention to Shane Long, really pleased that he came on and scored. To be fair, it was a terrific header.

We get it we're not a massive club...

Exactly. Club not helping itself by charging a £1.50 booking fee for each ticket purchased -
Agree with this. Any European competition is worth entering. I even wanted us to go for the Intertoto!

Am not 100 percent convinced that Ralph wil walk away in 2024.

Keeping Track of the Contracts 2024-25

I thought it may have been Salisu -
That's exactly my point. The league's that I mentioned haven't got much of a drop in quality to the Premier League,so the weekly standard of quality wouldn't be that different. Would have thought Chelsea would look at a loan to a team that had a realistic chance of qualifying for the last sixteen as a minimum.
-
There is absolutely no way Chelsea sell him to any of the other top five teams in the Premier League. Like many others have suggested I think the best we can hope for is a second loan. However,if I was loan manager at Chelsea I would be looking to loan him out to a team that qualified for the Champions League. See what he can do at that level. Guess that would mean a team from Spain,Germany or Italy

I definitely took it as being Lage. If he continues taking Wolves up the table,I think our chances of taking him are pretty slim. Never know though, two years is a long time in football. Wolves may pay the price for success when the bigger clubs come looking for their players.
