  1. Don't get the hype surrounding Phillips to be honest. Factor in that he has hardly played for City all season, just seems a waste of space in taking him. Not saying that JWP deserves to be in but Southgate clearly has his favourites.
  2. Am stunned anyone would think he would be
  3. I'd rather we stick to a specific set of principles of playing an attractive blend of attacking football that unites us as fans. It's obvious we are a million miles away from that at present, so I guess this season is now all about staying up, now matter how this is achieved.
  4. Kind of feel like that for the rest of the season
  5. Would have thought God's Cop by the Mondays would be a better choice
  6. Aribo was an absolute waste of a shirt. Embarrasing performance. Only ones to emerge with anything like credit were Caleta Carr and Perraud. Maybe S Armstrong too
  7. Agreed. Lyanco a liability. gives away so many cheap fouls by having his hands on the back of players. Diallo is a nothing player, can't even be bothered to describe how poor Mara and A Armstrong were.
  8. Feel so underwhelmed by this appointment. Just feels like a real kick in the teeth. Another cheap option rather than a statement of intent
  9. Absolutely dreadful performance. No passion, urgency or commitment. Whole club is Premier League in name only. Championship standard players and Championship mentality from the board and owners
  10. How fuckin underwhelming
  11. A painful watch. Armstrong even put of his depth against this lot. Mara has offered absolutely nothing
  12. This team is so shit, doesn't matter who is in charge
  13. Agreed it is, having said that, pretty sure Everton weren't in the bottom three and they probably had a whole pre-season to work with.
  14. Voted no, When Ralph left I was confident that we would make a statement of intent, I thought it was going to be the moment SR finally announce themselves properly. Well, it transpires that they have announced themselves, as another cheap ownership option that this club seems always able to attract.
  15. Did anyone catch his reaction to the Luton fans after the game? The coverage on Sky finished before he walked to the fans
  16. Be interested to know why he thinks he is ready now? Difference of only 6 months or so if we did offer him the job in the summer. Don't get why we are going back in. If you turned down the job once, why give him a second chance? Just feels like we trying to be too clever again for are own good. We don't even have recruitment head to help him in January with transfers. Unless the plan is just to sign Luton players.
  17. Hard to argue with any of that. Feels like we're taking a massive gamble with our Premier League status. Transfer window is key to everything. If we buy from the Championship again, we are done.
  18. As manager?!
  19. I don't think those that run the club give a shit about what the fans think. We have already seen that with the closure in Itchen.
  20. Are these guys really any different to Gao? They came in to much herald, did a few interviews and said the right things. Fast forward a few months and they completely fucked up the summer transfer window, didn't get rid of Ralph quick enough and our now looking to hire the manager of fuckin Luton Town. Just when you think the ambition of this club can't get any worse, you cam always expect the board to deliver something.
  21. I feel sorry for Ralph. Clearly a decent bloke who cared deeply for us. I really wanted him to be successful here. Loved his passion when things were going well. I think SR have made several mistakes since they arrived. The first was to keep Semmens and Steele on. Second was obviously not getting a striker in. If these two things had happened, maybe we would have seen a different outcome. Wish him nothing but good luck in his next venture.
  22. As a club we never learn from past mistakes. SR were supposed to herald a new era where we could actually be competitive. Feels like this appointment, should it hppen,is a massive step backwards, already getting Strurrock vibes from it.
  23. I think it's a done deal to be honest. Been said on here that they have been tracking him for months. Just pretty deflating all around to be honest. Wolves and Villa go all out and get huge upgrades on what they had before, yet we still persist in having to be different. Being different is going to cost us our Premier League place.
