  1. Unless he's refused to play or something, I would have kept him. He could have been the difference to promotion or not. Take a hit on a transfer fee.
  2. Would have Bednarek over Stephens, captain or not.
  3. Amazing how he got to five thousands posts with just three posts a day
  4. Think I saw he had a couple of hamstring strains, nothing really to warrant being called injury prone though.
  5. Yep. It is. His is just wrong though.
  6. You think?
  7. Might as well have stayed with us.
  8. Won't just close. It will slam shut.
  9. Sounds like its a possible. Anyone want to start a THB thread to jinx it?
  10. Lavia not even in Chelsea's C team this evening.
  11. Thats not what I said or meant at all. Surely selling Sully would have allowed us to keep Tella. As I stated, I don't think he is the type of character to refuse to play
  12. I would take that with a pinch of salt to be honest
  13. If it meant getting a player out that didn't want to be here, who is clearly not going to play a part for us this year, then yes. Accepting a lower fee may well have allowed us to keep Tella. You might argue that Tella didn't want to be here either, but I bet he wouldn't have refused to play or train.
  14. But why then lose two attacking players? I would have pushed to get Sully out of the door ahead of Tella, price met or not.
  15. Begs the question, why we let Tella go ahead of him?
  16. Am sure all the relevant checks are in place for a medical, just when you read sentences like if you can keep him fit, doesn't feel you with much confidence.
  17. Feels like a massive gamble to me, not sure its one we can afford to take.
  18. Or perhaps Swansea really didn't want to do business with us. Unlikely I know, but maybe not as crazy as we would think.
  19. Wasn't it suggested that he's holding out for Bournemouth?
  20. Should fit right in with our current central defence then.
  21. I don't think the nucleus of the squad was that bad last season. We had more than enough quality to stay up, as is displayed by all the departures. As been said many times, it was the chronic mismanagement of the team that relegated us. We still had enough time to escape after the sacking of Jones, yet somehow the club still contrived to replace him with someone equally as inept. Had we replaced Ralph with a decent manager we would have stayed up no problem. Possibly meaning Everton would be in our shoes now.
  22. I guess a lot of it depends on Calvert Lewin and if they think he can last a season without getting injured. Will need some kind of cover I suppose. Maupay hasn't exactly lit up the place, but the same could be said for Adams if he makes the move. He's not an out and out goalscorer.
  23. Not sure, no solid links to moving, would be very last minute if he goes.
  24. Was hoping we would keep him for competition for Manning. Not sure I'd want Larios or Meghoma to step in if needed. I know KWP can play left back, but that would leave Bree in on the right.
