  1. Thanks for the updates. I am looking for 1 adult, 1 child for this if anyone has spares etc.
  2. I am really hoping to take my son to this one for his first big away trip. Do you think 3k stands a chance of general sale? I read somewhere BC can give up to 4k. If that's correct I guess the club might see how it goes seeing as they have not said 3k is a final amount. Any pearls of reassuring wisdom please?!
  3. Cheers. I've been keeping an eye out for the final confirmation for Bristol City. Really hoping to go. I see they can give up to 4k to away fans, I hope we take that up.
  4. I've been told off by LD. A saintsweb achievement for me and so early into 2024!
  5. I agree it is simply unnecessary to have all 3 CBs on the pitch with the squad we have at the moment. Stephens may get games when injuries hit (like switching to CB today) but that should be it for the time being. Captaincy shouldn't come into it. This isn't cricket.
  6. I'm not sure about saintsweb posters interpolating the word shoehorn into posts about the possibly unnecessary squeezing in to the starting 11 of Stephens.
  7. I feel odd. Yes gutted about a late, late goal. But we're on a good run. Maybe because of that, plus how likely it looks to be play offs at best anyway, plus we're definitely still in credit as far as late, late goals go this season. And then there's the fact I'm not missing the division above our one at all. I've felt much, much worse about conceding at the death. A point today. A win next time.
  8. I think we had all of one home (league) clean sheet, v Leicester last season. Before that it was April 2022 v Arsenal. I think. It's been bad. 3 in 20 months. Good win tonight!
  9. It was a good game. I thought WBA were incredibly fast and had some very physically strong players and played very skilfully. The win shouldn't be underestimated. We almost weathered the 2nd half pressure but when we didn't we came back at them and took our chance. I was near their fans and it was a really good atmosphere. Everyone did well. Stand outs THB, brilliant. Bazunu, kept well and some of those passes! But all those who got on contributed. And those less popular, pleased for Holgate and Manning was good coming on late when the pressure was pretty intense.
  10. Understandably gutted and very complimentary about us.
  11. On the way home. Great support and brilliant celebrations at the end. I thought our superiority told as the game went on. First half was too slow. Second half we must have spent 95% of it in their half. We definitely looked for more openings than the first 45, played a bit quicker, and should have scored earlier despite nothing too clear cut. At the moment I like how we don't panic even into injury time, we keep trying to find that space for one last chance.
  12. If anyone wants to stay overground then London Bridge to New Cross is quick (about 6 minutes) and often, then 25-30 minutes to the ground. Maybe slightly longer walk than Bermondsey tube.
  13. Thanks have emailed.
  14. I think my Dad trod on someone's toes and only said sorry twice. Den takers. No messing with us.
  15. The fact a point on Saturday would mean we have as many as our 38 game total last season helps me to enjoy it more, than last season. Or the few seasons before that. We've won more games already. Happy memories of earlier prem campaigns. I like no VAR even if we end up having a goal or two wrongly awarded to the opposition. Human error is part of football.
  16. Ricky's two late pens still such a happy memory on my last visit there. And growing up in SE London my Dad took me a few times in the 80s but we always stood with Millwall fans. Not sure why! We got good at keeping very quiet if we scored. I recall a Le Tiss pen to get a point while all around us were very unhappy. Saints to win!
  17. Interested if first option falls through. Cheers.
  18. I accept that relegated clubs won't often be confident, due to obviously being poor. But there was decent amount of optimism, the first home game had a great atmosphere and players seemed up for it, albeit the goals conceded were indicative of things to come. There wasn't much talk of the negative knock on effects of relegation then. However. The current lack of confidence, in my mind, has little to do with last season. Worryingly for us there is now enough of a sample size for the players to lack confidence solely based on what's happening right now and what they perceive the future to be.
  19. Feels like much riding on this one. There was a feelgood factor a while back, seems like an age ago at the moment.
  20. For me that was the best atmosphere for seasons, not just the exciting game, but I sense must of us want to believe it will be different this season and want to play our part in that. The buzz outside the ground, lots of smiles and anticipation, and keeping the support up when they scored. A good football day. At last.
  21. Cheers. I hope there'll be options in the future.
  22. Is there an option to get any of the kits without the gambling sponsor? My child is now in adult sizes and I want to avoid if possible. I thought it was mentioned on here a while back. Thanks.
  23. Any idea of ticket sale dates for the Norwich game? Pretty vague on the club site.
  24. Reading Squires has been the one good football thing this season.
