  1. Bournemouth are just so much better than us - it literally showed in the first 2 minutes they moved the ball with one touch, we have to take 5 touches and then just go backwards
  2. Walker-Peters literally has to take 30 seconds before doing anything he’s so slow
  3. Imagine celebrating in that situation and then it ends up being offside anyway
  4. Or attackers are so far apart from each other, how are they meant to do anything? They’re literally running away from each other
  5. The players literally have no idea what positions they are meant to be in
  6. He plays a shit pass backwards then stands there admiring it for 10 seconds instead of moving and making himself available again
  7. Has he even passed forward yet? He doesn’t even bother showing for the ball
  8. He’s been captain of a team who consistently collapses and bottles it when we’re leading and it basically sums up his style of play. No control, no composure on the ball, always panics under pressure, never takes a risk, doesn’t like showing for the ball in tight spaces, always vacates the midfield in possession to drop into the back line. He’s a mentally weak player and despite his technical ability he’ll never be a great midfielder because unlike the best, he has no idea how to control a game and dictate our tempo. And just because he rallies the players or shouts a bit after conceding it doesn’t really do us much good.
  9. He barely gave the ball away because every pass he did was back to the CBs
  10. Trust us to go get the most useless result for both teams
  11. Equally, replace him with someone who can move the ball quickly, has a bit of composure, knows what's needed to win a game, can dictate play, can make penetrative passes, is happy to receive the ball in tight areas rather than always dropping into the backline to feel comfortable, maybe we would score a few more goals in open play rather than have to rely on his free-kicks and penalties.
  12. Praying that JWP hits a 30 yard free-kick before the end of the season to get some hype going again, because otherwise I fear that teams are starting to realise as side from set plays, he is a passive burden in midfield who slows down everything
  13. The problem we have isn’t just the fact we’ve gambled on two novice managers, the quality of the squad is so inferior to Crystal Palace the only real chance we ever had of staying up was really nailing the managerial appointment. When Palace have quality like Olise and Eze and Zaha, calibre of players we could only dream of having right now, we were always going to struggle. Couple that with a bit of experience in midfield and defence, which we have none of, and it’s game over before it’s started. The number one reason why we will be relegated is simply because our players aren’t good enough.

    Potter

Which is why we could bring in Potter, we could bring in Guardiola, none of them are going to suddenly going to transform us into a clinical team and no matter who our manager is now we will be relegated by the end of the season.

    Potter

Would he even make that much difference? Not saying he isn’t a good manager but at Brighton it wasn’t until end of last season / this season he was really getting results. Brighton were playing some good football under him but were notorious for not finishing their chances - let’s be honest if he came here he’d probably have us playing better football, but he isn’t going to suddenly magic up the goals we need to avoid relegation
  16. Good opportunity to ship out some of our bigger names who consistently fail to deliver amid an occasional moment of quality: KWP and JWP in particular for me - they don't do the basics, Ward-Prowse is just interested free-kicks and KWP is just interested in dribbling, they never make a simple pass quickly and it slows everyone else down. Lavia is off anyway, but it's totally pointless having a player like him in the team when its just Moi or S Armstrong on the end of his passes. Need to invest in some proper 10s who actually pass (unlike Sulemana, another who just dribbles into corners)
  17. At least he is trying to make things happen, but as usual everyone is on their heels stood still
  18. By being simultaneously crap it probably balances things out and makes our attack and defence both look reasonably decent.
  19. Is it a criteria for all our signings in the last 4 years to hold onto the ball for as long as possible without passing it?
  20. He played as well as his ability lets him, at least he makes an effort to keep the ball moving. Armstrong meanwhile just dribbles into the opposition like he's done most of his career. - Armstrong and Walker-Peters together = the slowest passing in the world as they instead try and fail to dribble past the opposition
  21. He plays in the same manner as Adams. No thought to buying someone who will complement Adams, instead we’re stuck with two strikers who want to play the same way and who can’t play together. In the same way that we keep buying a tricky winger with pace but no end product. No wonder we so shit when we just spend the whole game with our wide players dribbling into dead ends and then just go backwards and over to the other wing for them to do the same thing. We keep coming up with the same useless solutions in our recruitment and expect something to change. Air never does - and no wonder all our manager’s subs look so shit: Sulemana, Edozie, Djenepo they all just offer the same thing and it isn’t end product.
  22. Tbh I'll be quite pissed off if we celebrate this like we've won the league as we've done with other victories cause it has been really poor still
  23. With runners in behind as usual S Armstrong holds the ball far too long and ends up going sideways
  24. Surely you can't keep going the same way every single time - it's so predictable
  25. As I said earlier at least Aribo offered a bit of link-up play between the lines - something literally none of our other attackers do. That’s the level we’ve stooped to, but at least he gets himself into decent positions, while everyone else just stands in a line playing it sideways nonstop
