I've just read that shares in Manchester United rose 8.5% within 3 minutes of the NY stock exchange opening today. It's going to take planet Earth colliding with an almighty Jupiter sized Asteroid to stop the group of '6' pressing ahead with this.

I just checked Twitter. There's a few blue tick journos who think he might. Apparently this goes against everything he stands for. The cynic in me says this is the perfect excuse for him to walk because I think he was going to anyway. He's run his course there.

I would generally agree but I'm agreeing as someone who has never and will never be offered that sort of money. But wanting and needing more money are two completely different things. Everyone wants more money whether they need it or not. Keep in mind UEFA get €3.5BN a year for the CL. It's in their interests to stop it but they haven't got the power to stop it. The only thing they can do is make it unattractive to players by banning them from international football tournaments. We make a day / night of it. If it's something like Anfield or a Old Trafford we'll have a weekend of it. But generally for an away with tickets, food and travel its a good £150. Each.

My point is, like the bloke you quoted, we've lost 12 games in 14. If you'd travel to Wembley on the strength of that and spend 200 large then power to you mate. I wouldn't.

If the club at board level, have a fairly decent idea who the new owners are going to be (or at least who the front runners are) I would honestly sack him now and get someone else in. Give him the last few games to see who he wants, sell the rest. Going into next season with Ralph is a massive gamble now, unless the new owners have enough money to take the gamble. It all hinges on who buys us. But Ralph has been here 3 years. THREE. It just hasn't been anywhere near good enough and if Arsenal hadn't played virtually their fucking youth team in our FA cup tie, we wouldn't have been here today.

Ryan Bertrand for me was one of the biggest issues in our squad today. He was running the ball out, I was getting all excited for an attack, he'd stop somewhere near the halfway line, turn around and pass it straight back. Wtf was all that about? And it isn't just today in isolation, he's been doing it all season. Him and Redmond today killed that game.
